ActionAid International Tanzania started its operation in 1998. Its mission in Tanzania is to reduce poverty by empowering the poor, excluded and their organizations, to effectively claim their rights. ActionAid International Tanzania (AAITZ) is looking for the qualified, experienced and self -motivated persons to fill in the following posts: Programme Partnership Manager Dar es Salaam, Tanzania The purpose of this position is to ensure that AAITZ development strategy is developed and implemented; support capacity building and networking and learning opportunities for our partners organisation is provided; facilitate a process of transfer of information from partners to support advocacy, education and fundraising initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Programme Development/ Growth and National Coordination Advice and support regional offices in identifying new areas of intervention Assist and coordinate the generation of new proposals for programme development and growth at national level. Follow up of national level programme phase out and phase in balance of programmes, and their impact on sponsorship and other funding Ensure the coordination and production of nation level plan and budget Providing guidance and technical support to existing and emerging regions Facilitate effective interface and coordination among different regional offices for greater organizational programme synergy and cohesion. In collaboration with concerned departments and units, follow up and facilitate on effec tive programme integration between regional and national level interventions. Facilitate the institutionalization of RBA and new ways of working in AAITZ and in partners Key Responsibilities: Support a team of policy advisers has they articulate and formulate policy positions on diverse strategic and thematic issues. Provide administrative support to the policy department Organise stakeholder events Carry out research for members of the policy department Competency Requirements: The candidate will have a degree in social sciences. She/he must have an understanding of the socio-political context in Tanzania; a keenness to learn about regional and international policy dimensions to development and an ability to support advocacy strategies at various levels. The successful candidate must show potential for strong analytical and lobbying skills and must be IT literate Experience A minimum of two (2) years relevant experience in policy advocacy work in a reputable organisation. Programme Quality Coordinator Dar es Salaam, Tanzania The Programme Quality coordinator will play a lead role in ensuring program quality processes and practices and to promote best results in poverty eradication processes, organizational development and learning. Key Responsibilities: Play a lead role in the establishment and maintenance of AAITZ program monitoring and evaluation systems Ensure institutionalization of ALPS and participatory program learning systems, approaches and tools within the organization Develop/consolidate AAITZ program reviews, quarterly and annual program performance reports and annual plan and budgets. Provide support and build the capacity of country program staff, and partners on poverty and vulnerability assessment, strategic and operational planning, monitoring, evaluation and preparation of quality reports Coordinate program documentation processes and shared learning initiatives and practices Competency Requirements: The candidate will have a bachelor degree in social science (Economics, poverty analysis, political science, Sociology). Masters Degree is an advantage; Broad understanding of poverty, M & E, impact assessment and program learning processes; Good grasp of Human Rights Based Approach to Development Relevant; including experience in Quality Management; Knowledgeable of the principles and practice of programme Quality Management and the implementation and improvement of management systems; Demonstrable capabilities in quality planning and organizing to meet Project quality requirements; Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate these qualities. Tax policy and campaigns Manager Dar es Salaam, Tanzania The Tax Policy Campaign Manager is responsible for managing and directing the tax justice project, and supporting AAITZ in the development and delivery of a campaign and policy objectives around tax justice in Tanzania. Key Responsibilities Guiding and implementing the tax justice policy and campaign plan Establishing links with other organisations and representing the campaign to various audi ences Actively identifying and managing risks associated with the different elements of the cam paign Ensuring appropriate levels of joint planning and coordination with AAITZ communication department, womens rights, land rights and education teams and local rights programmes. Managing AAITZ tax related regional relationships with other AAI members Ensuring monitoring of the campaign and leading the internal evaluation of the last quar ter phase of the campaign

Partnership Development- Fundraising, Donor Relations, Widening/Stretching and Strengthening Local and Regional Coalition and Capacity Building Provide strategic leadership to sponsorship function and team Initiate new proposals for fundraising, and facilitate the development of proposals through out the organization. Facilitate the development of AAITZs non-sponsorship fundraising capacity and culture in the overall organizations. Maintain good relationship and communication with donors and AA families re- funding and partnership related issues. Develop and update fundraising strategies and donor profile database. Follow up on and ensure timely production and submission of donor reports and statutory requirements. Follow up on partnership forums through continuous agenda setting and coordination, develop and implement wider partnership and networking initiatives. Build national level coalition of partners for advocacy and influencing work Follow up on regular field activities including national level interventions and produce re port to the CD.

Programme Evaluation, Impact Assessment and Learning In collaboration with concerned departments and units, follow up and coordinate pro gramme, thematic and organizational level reviews and PRRPS and facilitate their docu mentation and production of reports. Follow up on recommendation of Local Land Right programmes and thematic reviews. Facilitate the development of programme and organizational performance and impact in dicators and follow up on the application of the same in all AAITZ interventions Initiate specific reviews or external assessments to substantiate AAITZs achievements. Coordinate and commission national level researches and studies to capture learning from AAITZs grassroots experience in AAITZ or at partners. In collaboration with communication ensure the documentation and sharing of AAITZs and partners learning and best practices. In collaboration with HR/OD, thematic teams and other concerned teams ensure the regu lar holding of forums for sharing and learning.

Project Manager Dar es Salaam, Tanzania We are looking for a qualified, experienced and self-motivated person to fill in the following post of a Project Manager for the Young Women Enterprises within the Policy and Governance Unit. Key Responsibilities: Day to day management of Young Women Enterprises Project while executing line man agement responsibilities Oversee the implementation of all field activities and interactive platforms supported by Young Women Enterprises. This may include contracted short and long-term technical assis tance Monitor the impact and efficiency of Young Women Enterprises activities with identified stakeholders (boundary partners) including attitude changes and behavioural responses. It involves taking initiative and managing projects, providing comprehensive coordination including external and internal communication to the Country Director and supporting the Senior Leadership meetings and activities. Duties are highly confidential and require comprehensive knowledge of AAITZ policies, procedures and operation. Key Responsibilities: Coordination of CDs travel itineraries, calendar and schedule/arrange meetings and re spond to inquiries from external and internal stakeholders Manage the fast turnaround of information through the CDs office, monitor CD emails, phones and incoming post. Be a contact for all International Board members, Assembly members, Directors and other staff for the CD Oversee CD travel schedule, electronic diary internal meeting calendar, electronic filing sys tem etc. Coordinate and attend all AAITZ Board meeting, including all logistics, agenda setting, min utes taking and production of final Board minutes. Asset Management Provide technical support and professional advice in managing assets and updating of asset register for the CP. Front Desk Officer Dar es Salaam, Tanzania The purpose of this job is to provide administrative support to the Human Resources/Organizational Development and being a focal personal for all procurement activities of the country program. Key Responsibilities: Logistic support: Arranging Hotel bookings, transport and other logistics requirements for Action Aid Tanzania visitors, consultants and staff. Providing Administration support for any key events being organized such as workshops Assist the Administrative Officer to plan, coordinate and organize vehicle movement schedule. Preparing courier analysis e.g. DHL, EMS, distributing cheques to Action Aid Tanzania clients. Office Administration supports: To manage the front desk and reception by performing a variety of office administration, secretarial function aimed at facilitating the efficient running of the Office. Human Resource Assistant Dar es Salaam, Tanzania Temporary post (5 months) This position requires a temporary person who will be will be responsible for the daily running of the Inspirators and Volunteers programmes.
