All flights must represent a valid Australiair scheduled flight as assigned by the schedule system. Flights not within the boundaries of this system will be rejected automatically. Australiair management reserves the right to temporarily suspend or terminate an individual's membership from the organization without notification if certain rules have been violated. The member may appeal the suspension or termination to the Executive Committee, whose decision shall be final. The general code of conduct reflects on the way Australiair Virtual expects members to behave as a member of the organization. Repeated failure to follow the code of conduct may result in a suspension, and eventually termination of the members account. Members should, at all times, be courteous and respectful to one another. Threatening or harassing any member will result in immediate suspension, and possible termination of the member. Members represent the Australiair Virtual community at all times when visiting other sites on the internet. Members should not undertake any action to bring harm to the reputation of Australiair, including, but not limited to misrepresenting yourself to another organisation, breaking the rules and guidelines of another organisation, or making derogatory statements about us. 2.3 Activity Policy All pilots must fly at least one flight within the first 14 days after successful completion of registration. After your first flight, active pilots must file a flight every 30 days. Active Pilots who do not comply with this rule will be set as inactive on the roster. Failure to complete a flight within 60 days will result in termination from the airline. 2.4 Leave Policy Here at Australiair we know you may not always be able to fly due to other commitments or something personal. So we do have a way to wave the 30 day rule for filing a flight. If for any reason you will not be able to file a flight within the 30 day period you will need to file a Leave of Absence. If approved this will set in motion a 180 Day (Half a year) leave period on your profile that will allow you to break the 30 day period and not have your account set as inactive. After the 180 Days from the date of submission of your Leave of Absence application the normal 30 day period will apply. If you do not submit a flight after the 30 day period has begun your account will be set to inactive. Failure to complete a flight within 60 days will result in the pilot being terminated from the airline.

2.5 Career Training At Australiair we always look to extend the knowledge and opportunities that our Pilots have. We will be looking to extend the career of our Pilots by providing such things as Training for new Pilots as well as Flight Planning documentation that will show every pilot from cold and dark start to shutting down our Jets successfully and properly. We are currently working on a training centre which we hope to be in operation by early February.

2.6 Transfer Hours At Australiair we understand that many of our Pilots will not be new to Flight Simulator. We also understand that you may have a history with another Virtual Airline and we do not want to see you lose any of that previous exposure that you have had. If you transfer from a different airline we will accept a maximum of 150 hours, and you must be able to provide a link that verifies this with the other airline. When you come across to Australiair your transfer hours will be added which will affect your rank and what you can fly.

4 FLIGHT OPERATIONS 4.1 Flight Planning Depending on how long the route and the type of aircraft your flying (Jet/Prop/Heli) will depend on which flight plan to use. We recommend you firstly use the flight plan that is given. If there isnt a preferred route use a High Altitude Flight plan cruising at the preferred altitude in your flight briefing. 4.2 Vafs Tracking Process In order for your flight to be recorded you must complete the flight through VA Financials. To do this: -Open VAFS and Login -Click View Flight Schedule -Choose A Flight -Load into FSX at the correct airport and with the correct plane. -Continue and Load as much cargo without going over your maximum payload -Continue to the preflight -Click Start Flight

Please note that Keeping your landing lights on above 11000ft or keeping them off under 9000ft could can affect your pilot rating. Also if you go above 250 knots under 10000ft you can also lose pilot rating. Warning: VAFS shutdowns your engine when the flight starts. If you are not loaded in correct aircraft your flight will not be accepted. If you find a problem with a flight tell our management so we can fix it. For more questions including how to install and what settings to use with VAFS the pilot centre at www.australiair.co.cc

4.3 PIREP Acceptance Criteria When submitting your Flight please be aware that there is An acceptance criteria that must be met for the flight to be approved. If your flight is submitted with any of the following it will be rejected. Time compression (Changing Simulation Rate) must not be used at any stage during your flight. You must fly at real time the entire flight. Over speeding for longer than 5 minutesrecorded during your flight will result in automatic rejection. Having a Landing rate over 600 FPS Severe Damage done to the aircraft

4.4 Online Conduct We do a lot of Online flying as we usually have a FSX session up on gamespy. Our session may be locked with a password which is available through the VAFS program. In VAFS Click Pilot Information and it will load up a news box on the bottom right. Any session passwords can be found in there. 4.5 Live Flight Map We have a Live Flight Board displaying the current flights being conducted by our pilots. This is available in the Pilot Centre on our website. If you would like to keep track of other Pilots flying at the same time and you are in our session go into VAFS and click Flight and AI Map. This is a map showing the aircraft and tags for anyone in the session. It is a very handy tool for pilots to use.

4.6 Other Software Other Software that we encourage you use is FsPassengers, Vroute, FsRecorder, Fraps. Vroute is an excellent flight planning tool which I strongly recommend you use unless your flight already comes with a flight plan. It calculated routes, waypoints, best cruising altitudes and even better it bases all of this on real world flights. The Premium version includes more features. For more information visit their website.
