    Today is the second day of my (1) trek around Mount Annapurna in Nepal. I am exhausted and my legs are shaking; I just hope I am able to complete the trek (2). My feet are really (3) killing me and my toes (4) are bleeding badly (5), but I still want to continue.

    Nepal is a fascinating (6) and exciting country, but I have a great deal to learn. Everything is (7) so different, and I am trying to adapt to the new (8) way of life here. I am learning a little bit of the language to make communication (9) easier; unfortunately, I do not learn foreign languages quickly (10). Although I do not understand (11) much yet, I (12) believe that I will gradually (13) improve.

    I am currently travelling with Liam, a student from Oxford University, in England. He is a nice guy, but impatient (14). He always walks ahead of me and complains (15) that I am quite (16) slow. I am doing my best to keep up with him, but he is younger and stronger than I am. Maybe, I am just feeling sorry for myself (17) because I am getting old (18).

    Right now, Liam is sitting with the owner of the inn (19). They are discussing the differences between life (20) in England and life in Nepal. I do not know the real name of the owner, but everybody just calls him Tam. Tam speaks (21) English

    very(22) well and is trying to teach Liam some words in Nepali. Every time Tam says a new word, Liam tries (23) to repeat it (24). Unfortunately, Liam also seems to have difficulty learning foreign languages. I just hope we (25) dont get lost and have to ask for directions.
