JUDGING BY ITS COVER

You are a new recording artist, and youve just finished cutting your debut CD. Now all that remains is for you to decide on a cover design for the CD case. What type of jacket design would you pick?

What Your Answer Means:

A. A soothing scene using some imagery or photos taken from some exotic location. You see yourself as a caring and gentle person who always has a smile or kind word for others. As a matter of fact, its hard to image how someone could be more sensitive than you. But to others, it sometimes seems that youve got a wall around you which doesnt let anything get through to you, and all that sensitivity starts to seem a little insincere. If you never let your guard down and show how you really feel, people will always be wondering what youre really thinking.

B. A fun, cartoonish design or other playful image. Youre sociable, talkative, and fun to be around. And you know it. But others see the flip side of that coin as well unreliable, flighty, and impulsive. Being able to make people laugh is great, but it takes on a different meaning if theyre laughing at you, not with you.

What is it you always want to be close at hand? The item you want to bring along is something you feel a little uncomfortable without, and your choice reflects a the part of your personality that you are insecure about.

A. ORGANIZER OR ADDRESS BOOK You cant trust your memory. Phone numbers, birthdays, appointments they run through your head like water through a sieve. You dont mean to forget things, but somehow they just never seem to stick. B. HAIRSPRAY OR GEL Appearances are all important to you. That attention to detail means you always look great and ready to take on the world, but sometimes you take things too far. Remember, a bad hair day is not an excuse to call in sick.

Youre a firm believer in your own bad luck. Things never seem to go your way, and youve noticed.

What your answer means

In your carelessness you overturned a garbage can, dumping out something that had been neatly shut away and exposing it for all the world to see. Your image of the can's contents reveals things inside you that you try to hide from public view.

A. Nothing comes out, the can was empty. People who gave this answer tend to live their lives without making displays or false pretenses. What you see is what you get. It's this simple honesty that gives them their charm. B. A pile of loose trash spills out onto the street. Those of you who said the can was full of loose trash may seem to be straightforward and forthright to others but actually have a pile of unexpressed feelings locked up within. You may notice these feelings only as a general sense of frustration, but when you think about it, aren't there places where you've been holding back from saying what you really feel?

C. Apple cores, chicken bones, and other raw garbage. People who imagined a pile of kitchen waste are suppressing their appetites and the natural desire for food. D. A well-tied black plastic bag. People who saw a neatly tied garbage bag have a strong sense of self-control. Maybe too strong. You hate to show weakness or make complaints - your pride won't allow it. But letting others know how you really feel is no sign of weakness. Loosen up the drawstrings and let some air in before all that garbage goes bad and starts to smell.

Your Birthday is the one day a year when you're justified in expecting things to be just a little nicer than usual. Well wishes and congratulations, presents and cards, maybe even a party or romantic dinner for two.

What Your Answer Means

The person who unexpectedly sent you the card is actually someone you would like to care more about you or give you more attention. In short, the person you named as the sender is someone whom you worship from afar. On the surface you might associate the biggest package you received with good feelings about the sender. But from a psychological standpoint, the person you named as the sender is actually someone whose affections you take for granted. This doesnt necessarily signify a lack of respect, but you definitely feel confident of their feelings for you. Be careful not to get overconfident. What feel like security to you may look like plain selfishness to others.
