The Struggle
Struggling to understand
Voices becoming whispers
To remain always just
beyond my understanding
Squinting to see
Faces have become
Faded photographs
indistinct with age.
No memories, but memories
Of memories or, better
ghosts of memories
Slowly with age
I have begun to live
In a world of one
Single moment, now
What was once known
Is now forgotten. This
Is life. Life causing time
And time dissolving life.
