SUPERVISOR RESEARCH PRESENTATION PROJECT RUBRIC


Criteria 1 Nonperformance Audience cannot understand presentation because there is no sequence of information, and/or components are missing Uses superfluous visual aids or no visual aids. 2 Basic Audience has difficulty following presentation because student jumps around, missing more than one component 3 Proficient Student presents information in logical sequence that audience can follow missing required component Visual aids relate to the presentation. 4 Very Skilled Student presents information in logical, interesting sequence that audience can follow, misses addressing one component Visual aids explain and reinforce the presentation. 5 Distinguished Exemplary Includes all components: Ice Breaker, report highlights, visual aides, handouts

Organization

Subject Knowledge

Occasionally uses visual aids that rarely support the presentation. Handouts in students presentation has four or more spelling errors and/ or grammatical errors. Student occasionally uses eye contact but still mostly reads from notes. Students voice is low. Student incorrectly pronounces terms. Audience members have difficulty hearing presentation. Student uses a clear voice and correct, precise pronunciation of terms so that all audience members can hear presentation. Handouts have no more than two misspellings and/or grammatical errors.

Eye Contact

Student makes no eye contact and only reads from notes.

Verbal Technique

Student mumbles, incorrectly pronounces terms, and speaks too quietly for audience in the back of class to hear.

Student maintains eye contact most of the time but frequently returns to notes. Students voice is clear. Student pronounces most words correctly. Most audience members can hear presentation.

Student knows presentation so well; there is no use of notes.

Student interacts with audience, projects voice, and modifies tone in an appropriate way.

Research Report

Report is at least 2 pages in length, uses proper APA format,

Handouts have three misspellings and/or grammatical errors.

Report is at least 2 pgs , APA format, includes at least 3 sources of credible research to support topic and report contains no spelling or grammatical errors.
