UNC High Throughput Peptide Synthesis and Array Facility Do you need peptides synthesized?

Peptide antigens for antibody production? Or e ven specialized peptide libraries? -- The UNC High Throughput Peptide Synthesis and Array Facility can help! The UNC High Throughput Peptide Synthesis and Array Facility offers local resear chers with high quality services for synthesis, purification, and characterizati on of synthetic peptides and preparation of custom designed peptide arrays. This new core facility uses automated Fmoc Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS) to make synthetic peptides, particularly specializing in synthesis of multiply m odified peptides containing PTMs, unnatural amino acids, and fluorescent tags. T hey have the capability to synthesize mid size libraries of crude peptides (~100 peptides in 2-3 weeks) and can print peptide microarrays (up to 4000 spots per slide) from synthesized peptides. The facility can also make Multiple Antigenic Peptides (MAPs) for polyclonal antibodies generation. The core facility director is research assistant professor Dr. Krzysztof Krajews ki and the faculty director/oversight is associate professor Dr. Brian D. Strahl , both of whom hold appointments in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysic s.
