PLANNING SECURITY

1. First create user using shared services, into shared services using http://localhost:28080/interop/index.jsp username: admin password: password

Click on user directories Native Directory Users Right click on users new

(Ex: Enter username: uday, password: password)

U can observe 2 tabs, general, member of Member of tab specify about groups, Save this user, we ll create one group then we ll discuss 2nd tab

Cretaing group Click on user directories Native DirectoryRight click on groups new

Here we have 3 tabs , general Group members User memebrs In 3rd tab u can assign users to this group (already existed users)

I added to this group kailu,uday as memebrs.

now check users list, and right click on user and select properties observe its group (ex: uday, it is showing groupname, super)

Now we are entering into security

Right click on user click on provision

Click on essbase: system name essbase: system name Administrator create/delete application select server access

Selected server access as role , it ll show in SELECTED ROLES tab.

Go to applications directory (where u r saving applications, ex: default application group or planning) I selected default application group select ur application (Newapp) select Planner

Select planner as role

Now uday is the planner for new app application. He hase essbase server access also.

Now we have to log into application using workspace or planning Select ur application , and select administration manage databse

Check security filters , check all shared members and validate (check all) and click on create

After cube creation finished, click on finish

Now click on administration manage security filters

Ifu didnt observe user click on create.
