The three skills I feel are very important but are not usually considered for inclusion in the optimal student package are the ones I have capitalized: CREATIVITY; SPEED READING AND PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY. When I was preparing the items I wanted to propose, I started with just those three. Then I applied a method I often use, the vertical A to Z list as a brainstorming tool, and was able to add 23 other important characteristics and skills. That is why A to Z lists appears next to Organizational skills above: A to Z lists, as simple and as obvious as they seem to be, are very effective. I create hundreds of them every year and I am never disappointed with my results. I have used and have taught the three skills I have capitalized and they do work. I have available samples of the courses I encourage members of the Boards of Education to investigate and to implement in some form.
