COLLABORATIVE ECONOMY AND FILM LESSON PLAN

Standard Eight | Collaborative Relationships The competent teacher builds and maintains collaborative relationships to foster cognitive, linguistic, physical, and social and emotional development. This teacher works as a team member with professional colleagues, students, parents or guardians, and community members.
This lesson plan was chosen to represent standard eight because it demonstrates relationships that have been developed with colleagues, both specializing in the social studies and in other disciplines. This artifact is an appropriate representation of this standard because it was developed by another pre-service social studies teacher, a language arts pre-service teacher, and me. It is also intended to be instructed by such a diverse group of teachers, and this is beneficial to students because it helps to stress important concepts and fosters reading skills across the curriculum. This lesson plan showcases my development as an educator as it proves the relationships that I have developed with many different pre-service teachers that are going through the same educational and certification process. It also shows that we are able to put our skills together to develop creative and useful content for our future students.
