Hello, I would really appreciate some help. I had to do a gravimetric analysis of Nickel in Ore.

My question is, how can I determine the percent by mass of the Nickel having only the mass of the Nickel complex (Ni(DMGH2) and the ore mass? I don't know how to find the mass of only the Nickel from the Nickel complex. If anyone knows, please help!!!

The nickel in ore reacts in DMG as the following 2 DMG + Ni2+ -------->Ni(DMG)2 1. Start with the mass of Ni(DMG)2 2. Convert to mole Ni(DMG)2 (DMG = C4H6(NOH)2) 3. By stochiometry, determine the mole Ni2+. Use the equation above. the mole ratio of Ni2+ to Ni(DMG) is 1:1. 4. Convert Ni2+ to mass Ni2+ 5. % Ni in ore = mass Ni2+/mass ore x 100
