Study of Potential Market of Bharti Airtel Limited in Jabalpur

Introduction
Airtel is an Indian Company thats operates in 19 countries across South Asia, Africa it operates a GSM Network in all countries, providing 2G or 3G services. Airtel is the first largest telecom operator in world with about 230.8 million subscribers across 19 countries as on (June 2011) and 171.85 million subscribers in India (as on Aug 2011). Airtel is the 3rd largest in country mobile operator by subscriber base, behind china mobile and china unicom.

Services provided by Bharti Airtel are: - Mobile telephony - Fixed telephone - Broad band - Subscription television
Airtel vision 2015 is to become the most loved brand, enriching the lives of millions.

Literature review
Kapoor,Sanjay, Chief Operating Officer, Bharti Cellular Ltd Airtel is offering web-based SMS linking with financial institution like ICICI ltd and HDFC ltd to offer bank services over mobile phone.

Mittal,Sunil,Group Chairman and Managing Director, Bharti Airtel Limited We would like to become a customer driven onestop-shop for a range of telecom service including fixed line networks, mobile internet access.

Need Of the Study

Because of the huge competition in telecom market. Because there are very few research work done in Jabalpur related to Airtel market.

Objective

To know the awareness level of Airtel customers. To know the perception of customers related to Airtel services. To know the further expectation of Airtel customers.

Research Techniques : Qualitative and Quantitative Research Design : Descriptive

Sampling Design

Universe : Jabalpur
Sampling Method : Convenience Sampling, Cluster sampling, Simple Random Sampling.

Sampling Unit : Airtel users


Sample size : 400

Methods of Data Collection

Method of Primary Data Collection: Personal Interview

Method of Secondary Data Collection: Internet

Method of Analysis

Likert Scale.
Further SPSS can be used.

Are you satisfied with the Airtel network? Are you aware about the Airtel plans? Are you satisfied with the call rates? Are you satisfied with the customer care service? Which are the plans you use in your Airtel mobile? What are your further expectation?

Expected Outcome

This research work will provide some use full data to the Airtel, Which can be used to make better marketing strategies in Jabalpur.
