A Transaction Codes and User Exits

This appendix contains a list of the transaction codes and user exits described in this book. In addition, you can download the table overviews, which are available from the publisher's website at www.sap-press.com.

work via queue control (guided transactions, see Chapters 2 through 6) or whether the scanning of a bar code represents the initial step. Some transactions are very similar to each other, while others are not very useful in real life. Sometimes the system does not provide useful functionality for certain business transactions, which must be provided by custom

A.1 Mobile Standard SAP Transactions

Lets first take a look at the mobile transactions contained in the standard SAP system. The 45 standard transactions contained in LE-WM (SAP Module Logistics Execution, sub-module Warehouse Management) can be easily selected via Table TSTC, since their names begin with LM*. However, since there is no clear overview and grouping available for these transactions, we thought it might be useful to provide that here. You can divide the transactions roughly according to the business processes they are used for, such as putaway, picking, and internal warehouse transactions. Furthermore, there are numerous transactions that you can use only in conjunction with handling unit management (HUM), as described in Chapter 1, Setting the Course at the Start of the Project. After all, everything depends on whether the radio frequency (RF) user is provided with

transactions (for instance, in production supply). We already described these functions in Chapters 2 through 7. As an alternative to the descriptions in those chapters, this appendix lists all available standard SAP transactions and their assignment to the aforementioned three business processes in a systematic manner. The situation described here corresponds to Release 4.7 Enterprise. However, SAP ERP ECC 5.0 and 6.0 do not differ from what is described here. On the other hand, Extended WM (SCM-EWM) is indeed different,1 because SAP has revised the entire logic of this application. The application is now much more stringent and better structured, although it is obviously still based on the same kernel. In the EWM system, the handling unit (HU) is even more important, especially with regard to the exchange of data with the central R/3 ERP system.
