What Would Jesus Text?

Welcome to the NW Ministry Conference!
One question that I am often asked is,“How can I get the people at our church to be happy?”This question comes in many forms,
maybe one is familiar to you:
• How do we motivate our people to meet our financial needs?
• How do you get and keep men interested in coming to church?
• How do I motivate the students in my Youth Ministry to get more involved and how do I keep them from dropping out of
Gary Dixon
church after high school?
NWMC Chairman
• How do I get the kids to want to come to Sunday School (Children’s Ministry)?
• How do I recruit and develop leaders, and then keep them?
If Jesus were to text the answers to these questions to us, here is what I think He would say:
1. Give them something to do. Church is not a spectator sport—your job is to move them from the stands to the field of
play.
2. Hook them up, in Christian terms help them find someone to care about. Loving others was Jesus’ new commandment,
John 13:34-35.
3. Give them something to hope for. Where is this ministry going? How will it make a difference in their lives and others?
Dave Furnstahl 4. Let them know that someone loves them. Christ loves us and uses us to show His love to others… so to quote Ty
NWMC Chairman Pennington,“Let’s get moving, people!”

ARKEOLOGY
Created by Dave Clark and Jayme Thompson
This familiar Bible story is told using creative
dialogue from the animals perspective as God
leads Noah on one of the most outrageous
adventures in the history of mankind. This
fun-filled musical is a great reminder to your
children, and your church, that God will help
us weather any of life’s storms as long as we
are obedient to His will.

Get your copy of the

ARKEOLOGY DEMONSTRATION DVD
featuring the complete musical as performed by the children’s
program at COUNCIL ROAD BAPTIST CHURCH in Bethany,
OK. This Demo DVD includes the performance of the complete
musical, as well as creative and easy ideas on how to make costumes.
