How-to Essays All supplies are set out. Students need to finish copying procedures from graphic organizer to the final draft lined paper. I told them it is okay to cut and paste steps separetly if they wish. After that, they could complete the illustrations for each step. All pieces should be glued to an 11x17'' piece of construction paper. (Examples are hanging on the board). I had Isaiah start over to write a prcedure that we could walk through in the classroom. We decided on howto wash your hands. The draft we started is on my desk. I was having him go through the steps at the back sink as he told me what to write.

Practice/Time Speeches Make/Practice with artifacts I have meet with Gio, Erwin, Brain, and Dylan. I had the subs working with Jacob so I wanted to check in and see where he's at. Most the the students are doing well with memorizing and creating artifacts. All of the artifacts are in a black basket on the bookshelf.

Gold: new words D16 Pink: meet with them to revist list 35. Because of Discovery, we did not have the entire spelling time. I have printed & copied the game from the Wrods Their Way disk. These are filed in Sort 35 of the spelling bin. I was going to use the sentence strips from the game to review the pronunciation. I planned on having partners read the sentences aloud and highlight the accented syllable. I have highlighted the syllables in the stapled packet at the front of the stack to use as a key. Facts test Go through a few 2 by 2 multiplication problems in notebooks or on slates. Intoduce the traditional method for 3 by 2 digit multiplication problems. Go through 10 problems in notebooks. Then, use the copies of practice sheets filed in the math section of the black trays (they are underneath the 2 by 2 practice sheets) HW: Super Teacher Worksheets 2 by 2 practice on grid paper (also in the black stackable trays)
