Developmental Psychology.

For quite sometimes, a lot of attention was not paid to the developmental process of human beings. The common believe was that a child was just an adult in a small body. The stages that a child went through to become an adult were ignored in the academic arena. However, psychologists began having attention in the developmental stages of a child and attached childhood experiences to the way adults behave. They have come up with systematic set of principles and generalizations that explain development, generate hypothesis and provide a framework for future research.
