STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

MY goal is to make an excellent career and create a niche in the field of Hotel Industry. Hotel industry is playing a pivotal role in todays scenario. This can specially be said so because hospitality is one of the fastest growing industries. The success of any company depends on its management. To acquire and develop the skills of manager, I have chosen MSc international Tourism Management. This will help me to build a professional career in the hospitality industry. As a part of my 3 years Bachelors degree in Hotel Management, I have a healthy knowledge of Management Information Systems (MIS), Financial Management, Sales & Marketing, Organization Behavior and Human Resource Management. I believe that knowledge in these subjects and areas will help me have a good skill set in International Business Management. During these three years, I learnt the fundamentals and structure in the hotel industry. Taking part in class level and college level competitions helped me in honing my academic skills And I had also undergone industrial training for 4 months in The Manohar Hyderabad. Apart from my academics, I have worked in four departments Front Office, House Keeping, Food and Beverage Service and Food & Beverage Production. During my training, I interacted with different people & learnt different techniques which enriched my working ability. I believe that my planned studies would provide me with the high intensity skills that are important to take strategic decisions at various higher management levels. Obtaining an MSC in international Business management form your university would enable me to build on my earlier academics and pave way for a good career. I have taken active interest in sports, mainly in cricket and volleyball in school as well as at college. Over the years, I have been lucky that I could perform well under pressure. Apart from all the above, I am an open minded person contumacy willing to improve & work on myself.
