Performance Task/Purpose: Students locate key facts or information in Claire Llewellyns Earthworms by using various text features (headings, tables of contents, glossary) found in the text. Syntax/Steps: Students have already read the book for its Key Ideas and Details (Standards 1-3). In this mini-lesson, we will strategically reread and locate key facts or information by using various text features.
