GOVERNOR FAULT CODE LIST

If calibration procedure cannot be completed, the six digit display will show an error code. I f an "H" appears in the fourth character from the right and nothing appears in the third position from the right while the calibration procedure is being performed, and error code is present. If an "H" appears, push button "8". The error code will appear on the right most three character positions. The chart that follows shows the possible error codes.

ERROR CODE DISPLAY 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 70 HF 01 70 HF 02 70 HF 03 70 HF 04 70 HF 05 70 HF 06 70 HF 07 70 HF 08 70 Hd 00

ERROR DETAILS Engine stops Speed sensor is abnormal Load is applied High idle engine speed is too fast Low idle engine is too low Governor actuator feedback sensor circuit open Governor actuator feedback sensor circuit shorted to body ground Abnormal feedback signal to governor actuator Retry error or too much hysteresis

If the error code "70 Hd 00" appears, push button "3" until the character display stops flashing. Push button "1" to select the previous calibration data or push button "2" to select the default calibration data. Push button "8" to store the above calibration data. Make the necessary repairs and repeat the calibration procedure. NOTE : When the calibration is completed, the display may flash between "70 End" and "70 06", the governor actuator cable is too loose by six full turns. I f a set of numbers such as "70 - 60" with the minus sign appears, the governor actuator cable end is too tight by six full turns. I f a set of numbers such as "70 20 13" is displayed, the four numbers on the right side indicate the actual engine speed which is below the correct specification for high idle.
