Students at Gumaeliuskolan in Örebro, Sweden worked on several projects focusing on global issues and developing intercultural understanding. In class 8B, students prepared a PowerPoint presentation in English about their school and a typical school year to share at an upcoming meeting. Class 9B's "Pecoela" project taught students about developing countries' political, social, and environmental problems through a lecture from a teacher who volunteered in South Africa. They then donated money from a school show to the orphanage where he worked. For the "Global English" project, class 9B students created PowerPoint presentations on countries where English is an official language, focusing on each society, inequalities, and education systems.
