Research Paper Purpose The purpose of this Research paper to develope a new technique called Total Six Sigma

Function Deployment (TSSFD) and it will be practically applying to smalland medium-sized Pump manufacturing Industries. Design/methodology/approach These researches have recommended the removal of these deficiencies by evolving extended versions of QFD. This trend indicates that Six Sigma has to be twinned with an extended version of QFD, which will aid in strengthening the pillars of Six Sigma. The theory of the TSSFD technique was developed with the objective of overcoming these deficiencies. Three pump-manufacturing Industries ( Jet Pump s) were involved, while examining the practicality of TSSFD technique. Findings The results of the study show that many of the Small- and medium-sized Pump manu facturing environment lacks knowledge of implanting techniques like QFD, which challenges the researchers to test-implement, the techniques like TSSFD. Yet the successful development of TSSFD documents during the reported research project indicates the practical feasibility of TSSFD implementation in pump-manufacturin g companies. Research limitations/implications The practicality of TSSFD was tested by involving three pump-manufacturing comp anies located in the city of Coimbatore in India. These two companies may not re present the global pump-manufacturing environment. However, the pump-manufacturi ng trend is uniformly showing sluggish growth at global level. Hence, the infere nces drawn may considerably represent traditional pump-manufacturing environment at the global level.
