Renaissance of Love

Are you unemployed? Do you sit around all day achieving nothing? Are taxpayers financing your social life, your rent or your mortgage, your consumption of food and various other things? If this sounds like you, congratulations! Youre half way towards becoming a politician, or in other words a first class welfare recipient; a non working person with access to money whose therefore permitted to enjoy a lifestyle that you otherwise would not obviously be able to afford, thanks presumably to the high esteem your wise words manage to command amongst the most civilised of people in your society. Jokes aside though, 21st century truth dictates that free lunches like the above are increasingly remnants of the past rather than signs of the future. One cannot continuously consume value from the more productive areas of society without paying a price, after all, for on a planet with finite resources asymmetrical relationships of that commercial nature are simply unsustainable. So here we are, having long borrowed from the future with a very big bill that now finally needs paying. Linked as much to Alexander Hamilton as to Otto von Bismarck and his unnecessary aggression to create the modern welfare State, this problematic outcome I suspect has a philosophical dimension to it.
