Began in late 2010 and provide twiceweekly assistance to gain hands-on cancer experience and provide excellent one-on-one patient assistance and care. Accurately assess and implement patient care using a portable ventilator, provide ongoing physical/psychosocial assessment and transportation services to out of home appointments. Continue to provide as needed assistance in a contingent position providing patient check in and exam room assignments as well as taking vital signs and documenting all relevant health questions. Ascertain patients symptoms, discuss findings with physician, and dispense prescribed treatment plans that include new medications, EKGs and any inoculation programs required. Triage phone calls from patients. Key Highlights: As a cancer survivor, I demonstrate close personal knowledge of patients fears/issues and am able to effectively discuss these concerns and provide informational and personal experiences if it would benefit the patient. I am also a nurse who always focuses on my patients needs first.
