As we all know, English is an international language in the lingua franca of the global community.

Moreover, English is the International language of diplomacy, business, science, technology, banking, computing, medicine, aviation, UN & NATO armed forces, engineering, tourism, Hollywood films and arguably the best pop and rock music in the world. English is spoken by more people than any other language. A statement was told by Dr. John Brian Anthony, resident from China came to Malaysia to learn English for further studies in overseas like USA, New Zealand and Australia. Although China is a 5000 years civilization country, they want to learn English. Language shapes the perception and structures the ideas. As we know, our government is changing the Science and Mathematics subjects from English to Malay and we argue to that statement. This has caused considerable disbelief and distress among many parents who prefer to have their children learn Mathematics and Science in English. We also advocate to teaching Science and Mathematics subjects in English language. So, we should discriminate English language in learning Science and Mathematics. There are many importance of English in Science and Mathematics. Their parents are very much convinced that their children can have a better fortune if their children equip themselves with knowledge of Science and Mathematics in English. Not only

that being well versed in English language certainly will be an added advantage. To join the new global age of knowledge society it would be in the best interest of Malaysia to encourage students at secondary schools to learn Mathematics and Science in English. They want their children to fit into the new world which has become global, and where English is the currency acceptable and used widely in most countries and in most fields of human endeavour. In the field of knowledge, world libraries and the internet use the English language as the primary language of communication. Our neighbouring country Singapore, has proven a good example why mastering the world language is certainly utmost important especially in this rat race society. One will be handicapped if he is not able to use the language well. The industrial age is now replaced by the age of knowledge. To keep oneself abreast with scientific and technological development, proficiency in the English language is a must. Next, the influence of English in Science and Mathematics, would prepare the students to the international degree. Students use English language to communicate and to understand Mathematics concepts. They are capable of presenting mathematical and scientific concepts with people or in written form. Moreover, students are able to discuss matter with other students originating from scientifically advanced countries like USA and United Kingdom.
