SUMMARY Ismael, a young woman from the hinterlands, I wanted to try his luck at sea, so we headed to the port

Ahab nails a gold coin to the mast and promised that anyone who killed Moby Dick would take him, then grabbed a jug of punch and did drink all of it. For the sailors liked to sing old songs related to the world of the sea. Ahab had an obsession: to hunt Moby Dick, but also the more whale hunt better that way every time would be closer to the white whale. So I knew that whales were moved by the veins. Moby Dick was feared by all sailors, less by Ahab. Ahab was asking all the ships he saw, by Moby Dick. Some boats had tried to catch it, but could not. Many times when we were hunting whales, Moby Dick appeared and fish kept the whalers. One day, raised the alarm because they saw something like a white whale, but it really was a giant octopus. The preferred whalers whales face a giant octopus. Ahab was disappointed because it was not what he wanted. To Starbuck the apparition of the octopus was a bad omen for Queequeg was something quite different, because he said he would soon see sperm whales.

The next day was very tired and heavy, so the sailors were resting, when they suddenly saw some whales. He immediately took to the boats and hunted a whale, it was dismembered and carried the ship into pieces. I'm not wanted at night was eaten by sharks. Days later they found a ship called "Jungfrau", which asked oil, since they had not caught anything for a long time. But the ship encountered a group of whales and took to catch them. The Pequod also went to hunt some of these, hunted by one, but the dead once sank so they tied her to the boat. The boat could not withstand the weight and had to drop. One day he suffered a typhoon, but could survive it. We found a large ship, the Rachel. This went straight to the Pequod. The whale is towed back to the Essex where the crew tie it to the ship. A platform called the cutting stage is hung over its body. The captain and mate strip the blubber (the fatty, outer layer of skin) from the whales body. This is called flensing. A large hook is inserted behind the whales front fin.
