Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 Jesus wants us to The end of the matter; all has been heard.

. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil. Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 ESV What are the commandments of God? There are a lot! Lol! What is the role of the Law to the New Testament follower of Christ? Jesus on the Law Matthew 5:17-20 Significantly, Jesus identifies His teaching with the Old Testament Scriptures and affirms their timeless authority. He calls us to faithfulness to even the least of Gods commandments; yet he avoids a legalism that focuses on the letter of the Law in the fashion of the scribes and Pharisees. Rather, He calls the disciple to the spirit of the Law. Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness to everyone that believes. Romans 10:4, but not the end of the Law. The Law is a pointer to Christ, a reminder that we need Christ for righteousness, for life. It shows us that we need a Savior. The believer through Christ has changed Read Romans 7 & 8 and see the transition. We go from in the flesh to in the Spirit, from defeat to triumph How? Romans 7:1-6, tells us the only way to be set free is to die to the old (Also see John 12:24-25) What does Jesus say about His commandments? Those who love Him will keep His commandments (John 14:15-24) - Love What commandments? John 15:8-17 (see Matthew 22:33-40 and Galatians 5:13-26) Love Grace and faith with works (following His commandments) in Christ 1 John 2:1-6, 5:1-5, 2 John 1:5-6 Jesus has called us to something greater Mark 10:17-22 What is the greater something that He has called us to? Rather than outward obedience to the Law, Christ demands complete allegiance to Him So what does Jesus want from us? He wants us to love and. He wants us follow (want may not be a strong enough word) What comes with following Jesus? Fishing (Matthew 4:19), Costs (Matthew 8:18-22), Light (John 8:12), We are known, hear, and given eternal life, sheep of the Most High (John 10:27-28) Each person has their own cross to take up (John 21:18-22, Luke 9:23), and those that do not are not worthy of Jesus (Matthew 10:38)

I think that we could safely say this: The end of the matter; all has been heard. [Follow Jesus], for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.

The Wonderful Cross: Were the whole realm of nature mine That were an offering far too small Love so amazing, so divine Demands my soul, my life, my all As you take up your cross, keep Hosea 6:6 in mind!
