Dear Friends, Thursday, August 4, 2011 As you know God miraculously gave us a beautiful 5 acres of land on which to build the WOL Bible Institute here in NE Asia. He has also supplied the materials and labor for the buildings and utilities to house, and teach 30 students this year. The first graduation will be held in just over a week on August 13, 2011. It has been a fantastic year with excellent students, an awesome schedule of WOLs top quality guest lecturers and eye-opening study trips to Thailand and Israel. 1. WHAT IS NEEDED: As you can see in the attached pictures this year classes are held on one floor of a dormitory (we left most of the interior walls out to do this), meals are being cooked in a maintenance garage made into a kitchen, students are eating meals in a greenhouse tent and the office is in a construction container. All of that would change, if we were able to complete Phase 1 by finishing dormitory #3 and building the classroom/dining room/kitchen facility. 2. HOW IT WILL IMPACT: As you can imagine when Phase I is completed the immediate impact is that we will be able to immediately handle 50 students in the dormitories and up to 250 in the classroom/dining room/kitchen facility.* This can also be used for camps in the summers. Completing Phase 1 will make a tremendous impact on the recruitment and experience of students at WOLBI Jeju and ultimately in reaching Asia for Christ. Over 60% of the worlds population live in Asia. And our Jeju campus is less than a 2-hour flight from Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei and 12 other cities that each have over 5 million people. WOLBI Jeju is training young people, who are either Asian or have a passion for Asia, to know Gods Word, to minister in a cross-cultural Asian venue and then ultimately to see them called and sent throughout Asia as Gods emissaries. Many students from this years class have committed their lives to go to Japan, China, Korea, Nepal or wherever the Lord will lead them. If we are training 50, 150, 250 students every year at WOLBI Jeju to become the next generation of Christian leaders in this part of the world (where 60% of the world live and half have not yet heard of Christ), could that not make a difference to help reach Asia for Christ? 3. HOW MUCH IT WILL COST: The cost to complete Phase 1 is right at $350,000 (USD). This will allow us to complete dormitory #3 and to purchase all the materials for the classroom/dining room/kitchen facility. If we were able to see these funds come in by the end of this year, we would be able to recruit volunteer work teams to begin arriving in the spring of 2012 and to complete this project. A number of last years 150 volunteers would like to return to help. Thank you so much for your encouragement, prayers and support to bring us to this point.
