Greetings, Let us tell you about what happened this month in Queretaro.

It was a long awaited moment for us we had visitors, 3 pastors from New Life, Paco Amador, Chris Ophus, Asa App, his son Levi and Wes Kennedy, a missionary at New Life.

The first night we went to Garibaldi, a taco place and discussed our plans for the week. The next day we had our home group with our friend Paco Covarrubias and his wife Yolanda. They talked about what God is doing in the rehab center ministries for drug addicts and their desire to help them because they do not have doctors or anyone qualified to help them with their addiction and they live in very bad conditions.

In the afternoon we took a tour of important places in Queretaro and further got to know 2 brothers, Luis Landarte and Nacho Gamas. Luis has a heart to support and serve in ministry. He is part of a big ministry that is called "Pan de Vida" which is one of the few here in Queretaro. We talked about the Christian culture here and the need that the church has to have love and

unity because there is a lot of division between the churches. One important fact is that the government of Queretaro does not give permits to Christian churches so easily. In the past it did give permits, but today churches close so frequently and are so small that they ask for 5 years of stability in one location and evidence of growth. It's a shame this is the case because other churches that are Catholic or Jehovah's witnesses do not have these problems.

On Friday, we had a big dinner at a restaurant and invited all the pastors and leaders we met. The people present were Pastor Martin Macedo, Phil Jones who runs a Christian cafe, Alvaro Fuentes who leads a ministry for college students and others attended who support ministries. We also had the opportunity to visit "Pan de Vida" which is a ministry that works with the government rescuing orphans or abused children. God has blessed and provided for this ministry in spite of all the expenses they have for working with the government.

On Saturday, we had a barbeque at our house and invited all the people we met that are interested in ministry. We had a service in the yard and pastor Paco Amador gave the message and Wes Kennedy did the worship songs. It was a very special time because all our friends were there and there were people who don't know the Lord there. On Sunday, we went to "Fortaleza Familiar" which is the church Erik and Maggie are going to and Maggie will be doing English classes. After the service, we went out to eat with the pastors and they told us that they see a great need in Queretaro, that they want us to start in our neighborhood called "San Jose el Alto", and they want to send us another team for a short term trip. We are praying for a couple that would be willing to be here long term to help us. Here are our goals: 1) We are responsible for the spiritual environment of "San Jose el Alto". Our goal is to love the people in the neighborhood and feel a burden for it. God has given us this authority as servants of the king!

2) We are praying for Jose and Joanne Carrillo and their baby that they can easily raise support to come help us with this project.

3) Begin 2 home groups. 4) Attend the church Fortaleza Familiar on Sundays for our own spiritual growth.

5) Organize missions trips 6) Continue building relationships with leaders, pastors, etc.

7) Erik will be taking theology classes with the INSTE program.

8) Other ideas: Help Fortaleza Familiar with their English classes with the intention of starting something similar in our neighborhood. Show Christian movies in our yard. Thank you for your prayers and support. Erik and Maggie Needs and prayer requests: 1) Continue to pray for our financial situation. 2) Next month Erik will be fasting for 21 days and needs your prayers for strategies in what is to come. 3) For Maggie and Kate's trip to the US to visit her family. 4) Spiritual protection for our family because in Queretaro Satanism and the occult is very popular.
