Visa Applications Procedure

The applicant personally has to appear at the visa-counter at date and time of the given appointment. The application form (free of charge!) has to be signed and filled out completely in a readable manner. For telephone-inquiries (Mon-Thu 15.00-16.00 and Fri 10.00-12.00) and for appointments call +92/51/28 18 421 or 28 18 422 or e-mail to islamabad-ob@bmeia.gv.at. Any application should be lodged not more than three months prior to start of the intended visit. Processing time will be 10 to 15 days, usually. In addition to the documents mentioned underneath, the Embassy may ask for further documents at any time. All documents and statements submitted by the applicant are matter of verification by this Embassy. Consular fee per application is the equivalent of EUR 60,- in PKR and is non-refundable. A) Private Invitation and Tourism to Austria


From Applicant: 1. Passport valid at least three months beyond intended stay and National ID-card. 2. Two recent pictures from each applicant. Format 3,5 x 4,5 cm, coloured (do not staple or glue!). 3. All risk Health/accident travel insurance (EUR 30.000,- min. coverage, including return transfer). It could be helpful to submit also the following: 4. Property documents with translations (German or English) 5. Recent salary slips, bank statements etc. 6. Employers confirmation of upright duty contract and salary slips or documents of own enterprise. From Invitee/Host: 7. Please refer to your local authority (police or Bezirkshauptmannschaft) for an electronic guarantee letter (Elektronische Verpflichtungserklrung - EVE), in case the applicant cannot proof sufficient funds. Tourists: 8. Hotel booking 9. Proof of financing trip (receipts, round trip booking etc. - ORIGINALS only!)

B) Business Invitation
1. Passport valid at least three months beyond intended stay and National ID-card. 2. Two recent pictures from each applicant. Format 3,5 x 4,5 cm, coloured (do not staple or glue!). 3. All risk Health/accident travel insurance (EUR 30.000,- min. coverage, including return transfer). 4. Recent salary slips, bank statements etc. (can be helpful). 5. Employers confirmation of upright duty contract and salary slips or documents of own enterprise (can be helpful). 6. The inviting company may refer to its local authority (police or Bezirkshauptmannschaft) for an electronic guarantee letter (Elektronische Verpflichtungserklrung - EVE).

C) Conference Attendants
1. Passport valid at least three months beyond intended stay and National ID-card. 2. Two recent pictures from each applicant. Format 3,5 x 4,5 cm, coloured (do not staple or glue!). 3. All risk Health/accident travel insurance (EUR 30.000,- min. coverage, including return transfer). 4. Confirmed conference booking. 5. Round trip booking and receipts in ORIGINAL! 6. Hotel booking. It could be helpful to submit also the following: 7. Employers confirmation of upright duty contract and salary slips or documents of own enterprise. 8. Recent salary slips, bank statements etc. 9. Property documents with translations (German or English).
