This article speaks on the Deployment / Configuration and Troubleshooting of MeetingPlace 8.0 Webex Type II Integration . It covers some of the most common issues that customers face while setting up such an integration. Deployments Type I schedule and join from Cisco Unified Meetingplace Type II schedule and join from Cisco WebEx Audio/Video only schedule and join from MeetingPlace, no web conferencing New Features in 8.0 Additional centers Training Centre - Supports breakout sessions (max 9 with MeetingPlace integration) Event Centre - Supports audio broadcast for attendees WebEx node Allows internal meetings to be run on premise Localization English UK, French France, French Canada, Spanish Latin America, Portuguese Brazil, German, Japanese, Chinese Simplified & Traditional, Russian Please note : Recording not supported for internal meetings

WebEx site admin password WebEx partner ID WebEx site ID Customer Configuration -- > Direct connection to WebEx site App server to primary and backup TSPs, port 443 App server to site, port 443 -- > Proxy connection to WebEx site Only SOCKS proxy is supported -- > Connection to WebEx node Port 7676 (internal)

Enter site name only, without .webex.com On fresh install, site version will be T26, TSP hosts will be empty

Configure Recorder

Start an audio meeting. Dial in as profile user, using recorder profile number and PIN

Record a profile name if prompted Change the profile PIN and press save. Not enough to just press save. Recorder pin and profile number will be uploaded to WebEx WebEx uses it to construct the dial sequence to join and record MP meetings Will only be prompted to record a name once, after the fresh install Reset TSP connection

Site version and TSP host(s) now filled in Site may provide one or two TSP hosts. WebEx adapter status now running.

Troubleshooting : Log file: /var/mp/web/root.out (admin web log file) Shows messages exchanged while downloading the TSP configuration from the WebEx site, setting recorder profile information TSP logs: /var/mp/ciscowebexadaptor/ciscowebex.log (WebEx adaper log file) Shows messages exchanged between WebEx TSP(s) and WebEx adapter, messages exchanged between WebEx adapter and MeetingPlace /var/mp/ciscowebexadaptor/socks.log SOCKS connector TSP Alarms: Services > Logs>View System Logs > select the module and unit. -Shows when connection to TSP server was established/dropped -No alarms if connection was never established

PLEASE NOTE FOR SINGLE SIGN ON Deployments where MeetingPlace owns user profiles. Requires directory service integration with CUCM. User accounts are automatically created on WebEx site when the user signs in. MeetingPlace is the identity provider. Profile Requirements : a) Profile must contain first name, last name, email and user id. b) Both user id and email must be unique on WebEx site. c) Email cannot be longer than 64 characters. d) Phone numbers cannot be longer than 30 characters.
