Job Description

Purpose of Job The purpose of the QS Technician is to support internal audits of the Quality Systems. To report to management any concerns found, identify corrective actions, recommend system improvements and assist in development of quality systems/techniques. To support systems and B2B customer platforms In addition QS Technician will support operational units and central Purchasing department through the selection of suppliers, supplier performance monitoring and supplier development. Duties (list the main responsibilities/duties/tasks the job holder will be required to undertake.) Support during the execution of 3rd and 2nd party audits to all applicable standards including VDA, TS 16949, 14001 etc To support internal audits and audit planning. To ensure that the MAHLE Group processes are integrated into MPT where possible and updates maintained to the latest levels To identify improvements and assist in development of quality systems / methods To progress and report on the corrective actions resulting from the quality audits. To assist the Quality Manager in fulfilling Management Representative duties

Computerisation of systems activities where possible To support new product introduction through the approval of initial sample reports, capability analysis reports and 2-dat production runs To monitor, investigate and progress quality alerts/concerns To liaise with suppliers on key quality problems to support the MPT business units using the 8D approach To report on supplier performance results and carry out suitable analysis with the aim of prioritising and improvement actions Any other duties deemed appropriate by the Quality Manager Quantitative aspects number of employees responsible for department budget TBCkproduction output /sales value responsible for kcapex kother Qualifications (state what qualifications the job holder needs in order to perform the job and whether they

Quality auditing, preferably IRCA recognised ONC/HNC in relevant subject (mechanical engineering, quality) Skills and Experience (state what skills and experience the job holder needs and whether they are
essential or desirable)

3 year experience in Automotive sector, Manufacturing and/or R&D Quality Auditing Problem Solving IT Literate (MS Office) Competencies (state what behaviours are important in this job only complete this section if an approved
competency scheme is in use)
