Gods Kingdom Will Eliminate War and Corruption (rs p. 228 3p.

229 2)
Free mankind from all threat of war Ps. 46:8, 9: Come, you people, behold the activities of Jehovah, how he has set astonishing events on the earth. He is making wars to cease to the extremity of the earth.

With the conclusion of this war, the earth will enjoy peace for a thousand years. The psalm that declares [Jehovah] is making wars to cease to the extremity of the earth. The bow he breaks apart and does cut the spear in pieces; the wagons he burns in the fire, had initial fulfillment in Gods bringing peace to Israels land by wrecking the enemys war instruments. After Christ defeats the promoters of war at HarMagedon, the extremity of this earthly globe will enjoy full and satisfying peace. (Ps 46:8-10) Our Merciful Refuge Read Psalms 46 to 51. Jehovah, our Refuge, will cause wars to cease. (Psalm 46) He is King over all the earth, and this invincible Protector is our God forever. (Psalms 47, 48) The oppressed must wait on Jehovah, but all who offer thanksgiving as their sacrifice will see salvation by God. (Psalms 49, 50) If we err but are repentant, as David was over his sin with Bath-sheba, God will deliver us from bloodguiltiness because a heart broken and crushed he will not despise.Psalm 51. Isa. 2:4: They will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore. Who are the nations that beat their swords into plowshares? Surely, they are not the modern-day political nations and governments. Until now these nations have developed swords, or weapons, both to wage war and to preserve peace through strength. If anything, the tendency has always been for nations to beat their plowshares into swords! Isaiahs prophecy finds fulfillment in representatives from all nations, people who worship Jehovah, the God of peace.Philippians 4:9. ` LOOK again at the Bible prophecy in Isaiah that says: They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. Notice from the context that those who beat their swords into plowshares are many people who walk in the paths of God. (Isaiah 2:2-4, King James Version) This means that these people worship Jehovah God and obey his laws. Who are they? They must be a multinational people who have not merely rejected weapons of war but who have worked to root out of their minds and hearts the attitudes and dispositions that lead to strife and fighting. (Romans 12:2) Rather than kill their neighbor, they love him. (Matthew 22:36-39) Have you heard of a people like that? Perhaps you have heard that Jehovahs Witnesses enjoy an international brotherhood and have renounced taking up weapons to kill others. Think about it: If everyone on earth shared that outlook, would not this planet already be a place of peace and security? Rid the earth of corrupt rulers and oppression Ps. 110:5: Jehovah himself at your right hand will certainly break kings to pieces on the day of his anger. Ps. 72:12-14: He [Jehovahs Messianic King] will deliver the poor one crying for help, also the afflicted one and whoever has no helper. He will feel sorry for the lowly one and the poor one, and the souls of the poor ones he will save. From oppression and from violence he will redeem their soul, and their blood will be precious in his eyes.
