LIST OF SUSTAINABLE BUILDING MATERIALS PROPOSED TO BE USED:
1. STONE
When selecting sustainable building materials for a green project, natural stone seems lik
a no-brainer. However, if you factor in the quarrying and fabrication processes, its envir
omental impact may be closer to manufactured materials than one would think
2. GYPSUM
For purposes of calculating "U" values, the "C” factor for 1” gypsum board is 1.2; Resista”
nce "R" for 3/8” board is 0.32; for 1/2” board 0.45; for 5/8” board 0.56; and for 1" board

(Over 90% of gypsum board paper used is from recycled materials. The gypsum industry increasi
ngly uses "synthetic" gypsum to manufacture gypsum board, This rw material isa by-product, o
waste material, from other manufacturing processes as well as the desulphurization of flue gase
s in fossil fuel power plants. By using what would otherwise be waste products, the gypsum indu
stry reduces the stream of solid wastes going to landfills and at the same time extends natural gy
psum reserves
3. CEMENT BOARD
4. BLOWN CONCRETE
5. STEEL
Steel is the world’s most recycled material, and among the easiest materials to reprocess,
as they can be separated magnetically from the waste stream. Recycling is via a steelwork
s: scrap is either remelted in an electric arc furnace (90-100% scrap), or used as part of th.
e charge ina Basic Oxygen Furmace (around 25% scrap). Any grade of steel can be recyc
led to top quality new metal, with no ‘downgrading’ from prime to lower quality materials
as steel is recycled repeatedly. 42% of crude steel produced is recycled material.
6. NON ALDEHYDE FLOOR TILES
7. NON METHANE SERVICE CABLES/PIPES
8. NONTOXIC PAINTS
‘Health Reduced toxins benefit everyone, including those with allergies and chemical
sensitivities.Environment Reduces landfill, groundwater and ozone depleting contaminants.
Effective Low-VOC products perform well in terms of coverage, scrubability and hi
deability (covering flaws on previous coats).
Water-Based Easy cleanup wtih soap and warm water.
Little or No Hazardous Fumes Low odor during application; no odor once cured. No
off-gassing. Painted areas can be occupied sooner, with no odor complaints.
‘Not Deemed Hazardous Waste Cleanup and disposal greatly simplified.

10. SOLARPANELS
They do not generate greenhouse gases, saving CO2 emissions.
‘There are a number of installation options available including on-roof, canopy, fagade, sky light
and complete roof solutions.
‘The PV system can connect in to the Local electricity network, any excess can be sold back to the
arid.
