STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION Recruitment of Constable (GD) in CAPFs and Rifleman(GD) in Assam Rifles, 2012- Result for Female

candidates to be called for Medical Examination.


The Staff Selection Commission conducted the written examination for recruitment to the post of Constable G.D in CAPF and Rifleman in Assam Rifle Examination, 2012 on 22.4.2012 at various centres scattered all over the country. A total number of 7,05,832 candidates appeared for the examination. In addition, re-examination was also held on 13.05.2012 at Venue No. Lucknow-10 & 11 along with the candidates of NCB.

Based on performance in the Written Examination, male candidates were shortlisted

for Medical Examination, the result of which was declared on 08.06.2012. In continuation of that the Commission has decided to declare the result of female candidates who have been qualified for Medical Examination in the aforesaid examination.

As per the scheme of the Recruitment, the minimum cut off percentage marks in the

written examination is normally 33% for SC, ST and OBC candidates and 35% for UR and Ex-Servicemen candidates.

For preparation of Result, Category, Gender and State/Border and Naxal/Militancy

Codes of candidates have been taken from Data sent by Regional Offices, as decided by the Commission.

There were 1,644 Female candidates who had invalid State Codes (Blank/Zero) and these candidates were included in data after taking their State Codes, as per Roll Numbers.

6. Vacancies have been reported by the Ministry of Home Affairs for all the CPOs for year 2012-13 and Backlog vacancies for the year 2011-12 in Assam Rifles. The Commission has accordingly released 04 lists of candidates for Detailed Medical Examination :--

6(a). List I : Candidates qualified against State-wise vacancies Keeping in view the tentative vacancies in each State/UTs, Commission has fixed the following cut-off for Female candidates with a view to following 1:4 ratio (Vacancies to candidates) approximately :-

List II: Additional candidates qualified against vacancies reserved for Naxal/Militancy Affected Areas In the following States, cut-off as in List-I will be applicable for List-II also :-

1. Jammu & Kashmir* 2. Manipur* 3. Meghalaya* 4. Mizoram* 5. Nagaland* 6. Arunachal Pradesh* 7. Assam* 8. Tripura* 9. Andhra Pradesh 10. Jharkhand 11. Madhya Pradesh 12. Maharashtra (*Entire State has been declared as Naxal/Militancy affected area for this purpose) All the Candidates qualified in List-I in the States in North-Eastern Region and J&K and domiciled in Naxal/Militancy affected areas in other States listed above, will be considered for vacancies reserved for Naxal/Militancy Affected Districts in these State/UTs also. For 5 States viz. Bihar, Chattisgarh, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal, all the candidates domiciled in Naxal/Militancy affected Districts and qualified in List-I will be considered for vacancies reserved for Naxal/Militancy affected Districts too. However, for these 5 States, a list of additional candidates is being released at a lower cut-off vis-a-vis List-I for candidates domiciled in Naxal/Militancy affected Districts as below :Naxal

6(c). List III : Additional candidates qualified against vacancies reserved for Border Districts In the following States, cut-off as in List-I will be applicable for List-III also :1. Assam 2. Arunachal Pradesh 3. Gujarat 4. Himachal Pradesh 5. Jammu & Kashmir 6. Manipur 7. Mizoram 8. Meghalaya 9. Nagaland 10. Sikkim 11. Tripura All the Candidates qualified in List-I in the 11 States/UTs mentioned above and domiciled in Border Districts will be considered for vacancies reserved for Border Districts in these State/UTs also. For 6 States viz. Bihar, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal, all the candidates qualified in List-I and domiciled in Border Districts will be considered for vacancies reserved for Border Districts too. However for these 6 States, a lower cut-off was fixed vis-a-vis List-I for candidates domiciled in Border Districts as below :-

6(d). List IV : Candidates qualified against unfilled vacancies in deficit State/UTs, if any, after finalization of the Select List. Commission has decided in consultation with MHA and the CAPFs to call additional candidates for Detailed Medical Examination in order to consider them against shortfall in candidates vis-a-vis vacancies in deficit States/UTs, if any. 1,799 additional Female candidates are available at the prescribed cut-off in the above States. Commission has decided that these candidates will be considered against aggregated shortfall, if any, after considering the candidates in List-I, II and III for vacancies available in the respective State/UTs in order of merit and option for CAPFs.

7. To sum up, following Female candidates are available in each of the four Lists :List-I : 7,528 (State-wise) List-II: List-III: 167 (Additional for Naxal/Militancy affected Districts) 438 (Additional for Border Districts)

List-IV: 1,799 (Additional for Reserve List) List-I has no common candidate with other Lists. Between List-II and List-IV there are 4 common candidates, between List-III and List-IV there are 71 common candidates and between List-II and List-III there are 23 common candidates. Each candidate will be called for Medical Examination only once. 8. The list is PROVISIONAL. The candidates whose roll numbers figure in the list would be called for Medical Examination subject to their fulfilling all the eligibility conditions/requirements as prescribed for the post in the Notice of Examination and also subject to thorough verifications of their identity with reference to their photographs, signatures, handwriting, etc., on the application forms, admission certificates, etc. If on verification from the application form, it is found that any candidate does not fulfil any of the eligibility conditions, he/she will not be eligible to appear for the Medical Examination. The Commission causes further verification of details in the OMR sheets of the candidates and also undertakes post examination/posts, result analysis of OMR sheets to detect incidence of malpractices. Therefore, the result of the written examination are placed on the website, subject to such verification/analysis. 9. Particulars of the candidates including their category status as indicated in

the result have been taken from their OMR answer scripts. It is important for such candidates for whom certain percentage of vacancies are reserved as per the policy of the Govt., to note that if any of them does not actually belong to the category shown against his/her roll number, he/she may not be eligible for appearing in the Medical Examination. It is, therefore, in the interest of such candidates to contact the concerned Regional Offices of the Staff Selection Commission immediately in all such cases where they do not belong to the category shown against their roll numbers in the result. Similarly, if there is mismatch between roll numbers and name, such candidates should also contact the regional offices.

Medical Examination of the qualified candidates will be scheduled by the

concerned Regional Offices of the Commission. Candidates are advised to follow the website of the concerned regional offices. The facility of downloading of the call letters will also be available from the concerned website of the regional offices., Medical Examination, in batches, will tentatively be in July-August, 2012 at different centres.

It may be noted that in case of delay in receipt of call letters, candidates will

be allowed to report to the Medical Examination centre on subsequent days within one week of the date assigned to the candidates in the call letter or completion of the medical examination, whichever is earlier. results are available on the Commissions website

http://ssc.nic.in. The marks of 6,04,521 candidates found to be in good records are also placed on the Commissions website for information of the candidates. This includes marks of 3004 candidates whose result were kept withheld pending verification of data, subject to award of zero marks, if any of these candidates found to be rejected after verification due to mismatch in the roll numbers and not following instructions on OMR Answer Sheets. Further, records of 1,01,311

candidates who have been awarded zero marks for not coding their personal particulars in the OMR Answer Sheets are also placed in the website.

13. The result of the candidates who appeared in the re-examination held on 13.05.2012 at Venue No. Lucknow-10 & 11 along with the candidates of NCB will be processed separately.
