Experion PKS R400

Unparalleled in its capability to integrate process control, safety and SCADA applications in a single scalable platform, the latest Experion Process Knowledge System (PKS) release, R400, features key innovations that deliver superior value. With over 40 years of experience, Honeywell provides robust and simple solutions to complex problems, allowing easy migration and integration of existing equipment with the most modern control system available.

Simplify Open Systems

Honeywells latest innovations free process control users from the churn and dependency of open system technologies. Experion R400 makes on-process system migrations easier and less frequent. Additionally, Honeywell Process Solutions has new agreements with key suppliers, including Microsoft, that extend the availability of operating systems and key infrastructure components. Honeywell is deploying Experion PKS and its advanced applications in a virtual environment, allowing the customer to do more with less while improving overall system reliability.

Reduce Total Cost of Ownership

Cutting the total cost of ownership in half, this new release provides the following benefits and investment protection: Easier installation and migration Flexible migration paths with fewer updates/migrations required over time Reduced hardware churn resulting in reduced operation and maintenance costs Simplified open systems integration

Process Control Innovations

Experion R400 is value-packed with a range of new capabilities: The new Profibus Gateway provides redundancy, ease of engineering effectiveness and cost reductions. OneWireless integration lowers installation and engineering costs. The integrated Turbomachinery control system paired with C300 offers a unified control system for the boiler, turbine and power plant. This complete system provides improved plant performance through better coordination of the boiler and turbine, and helps in saving on installation cost, as well as operation and maintenance costs. Foundation Fieldbus enhancements reduce downtime and support more effective operations and increased compatibility, while reducing testing and checkout times. Custom algorithm blocks (CAB) on the C300 controller offer advanced control platforms embedded in the controller. Running the CAB blocks within the simple and robust C300 control now adds fault-tolerance and redundancy to this advanced process control programming capability.

Experion PKS R400

Fully integrated and highly scalable field diagnostics provide a tightly integrated asset management solution. Controller-based batch application enhancements enable sites to get running faster with their batch applications. The new C200E controller offers unsurpassed lifecycle protection and increased system capacity, making its superior Experion Batch Manager (EBM) available for existing customers, thereby preserving their investment. Exception-based history, more history data types and more history rates complete the Experion embedded, redundant historian. Built-in support for tabbed displayed and drag and drop of trend configurations streamline the operator workflow.

Greatly Increased System Capacity

Experion R400 introduces an increased system capacity including support for a central system that connects to up to 60 other Experion systems using distributed system architecture (DSA). With an overall capacity of 250,000 points per Experion cluster and an increased number of Stations that connect to each server, Experion R400 offers unparalleled levels of system performance with unprecedented architecture flexibility.
