Protection
General protection on the process voltage +Vp by CTP with maximum tripping current at 20C:0.75 A. Protection of each channel by CTP with maximum tripping current at 20C: 0.3 A. The AS111 module includes: an analog interface consisting of: - a switching converter, - four D/A converters (serial 2-channel, 12-bit DACs) actuating the eight outputs, - eight analogue current outputs, - one A/D converter (8-channel, 10-bit ADC) fitted with eight analogue inputs for feedback of the DAC outputs, an opto-electronic interface. an intelligent unit consisting of a micro-controller fitted with: - EPROM/RAM/EEPROM, - timers, - an analog interface control circuit, an interface with the 2000 I/O bus consisting of: - a circuit for plugging in with power on, an 2000 I/O bus slave interface, - a dual access RAM (DPR). The AS111 module outputs the analog signals and reads them back. This consists of: converting the PLC digital information into electrical signals available at the process end, check the validity of the analog outputs by rereading them.

The AS111 module: tests its own circuits, except for the last stage which produces the current outputs, converses with the higher level via the 2000 I/O bus, handles the dialogue necessary for customization of the board. The AS111 module informs the CE2000 PU of the faults which it has detected:
Set up Customization
The only customization required is for the origin of the process voltage; it can be selected by two straps.
The module gives a configuration report so that the CE2000 processing unit can check whether a module was replaced during a halt. After a replacement, the module can be reconfigured at any time, except if the CE2000 is stopped.
Configuration
Before being used, the AS111 module should be provided with all the parameters indispensable for the processing: the parameters specific to the module, -the physical address of the module,
user fault
at each acquisition, the module checks for the presence of the process voltage and indicates it absence. This fault is acknowledged at resumption of the process voltage. at each output, the module checks for the presence and the quantity of the current transmitted for each load. If the load is absent, the module indicates its disconnection.
hardware fault
the module performs a transparent test of the circuits corresponding to the micro-controller and indicates the detected faults. it monitors the micro-controller by an internal watch-dog. If the watch-dog is de-activated, the module is re-initialized, thus leading to its disappearance from the 2000 I/O bus.
If the feedback of the analogue outputs is faulty, the feedback operation is immediately repeated several times. If the fault persists, the module should be removed for repair.
48-pin connector
operational fault
the exchanges between the CE2000 PU and the AS111 module are checked (inconsistency of received data, unidentified commands, non-executable tasks). The module issues a service report indicating the type of fault detected. the fault is acknowledged on restoration of coherent dialogue.
The supply is selected by straps placed near the connectors: upper position VPD -lower position VPE the frequency of the mains voltage (50 Hz or 60 Hz), the parameters specific to each channel - the channel number, - 4-20 mA or 0-20 mA output.
the (+) pole of the dipole is connected to terminal Si2 of the corresponding output, the (-) pole of the dipole is connected to terminal Si4 of the corresponding output.
