Reasons For Baptist Boycott of Disney

The Southern Baptist Convention, the largest Protestant Church in America,
with 16 million members has challenged the Disney Empire over the
unChristian and immoral material they are pumping into American homes in
the guise "family entertainment." It has become so obscene that Walt Disney
would turn over in his grave if he knew what the evil Michael Eisner has done
to the institution he created!

Dallas, Texas. The 12,000 Baptist delegates voted overwhelmingly to launch a

boycott of all Disney-owned companies. The naming of the first weekend in June
as "Gay Days" along with Disney's new program to extend employee insurance
benefits to homo and lesbian partners along with ABC-TV's Ellen DeGeneris' (read:
DeGenerate's) open lesbian show was the final straw. Richard Lamb of the church
morals and ethics panel said: "You can't walk the family side of the street and
the gay side of the street in the Magic Kingdom at the same time - there's a
sense of betrayal and outrage." Disney owns ABC-TV, ESPN, A&E and Miramax
films which produced "Pulp Fiction" with John Travolta which glorified blatant
cocaine use and race-mixing. They also made "The English Patient" that is anti-
German and ends with an assisted suicide. While Disney earned $21 million in
1996, its stock fell when the boycott was announced. Rev. Roy Fisher of the First
Baptist Church in Nashville said: "I know of hundreds of people who have
dropped the Disney Cable Channel. Disney has abandoned traditional family
values to promote the homosexual agenda. The time has come to stop
patronizing any company that promotes immoral ideologies and practices."

"Gay Days" at Disney World

Homosexuals are invited every year to spend the first weekend in June at Disney
World. Michael Eisner, the Jewish head of Disney, provides homos with special
discounts at the Marriott Courtyard in the Disney Village and at the Dolphin and
Swan hotels. Eisner even set aside Pleasure Island in the middle of the theme
park exclusively for homos this past June 5th - 9th. Some 60,000 homos from
throughout the nation attended and the orgy continued all night long. Shocked
tourists with children reported seeing men kissing men and fondling one another
in public! This is the fifteenth year in a row that this debauchery has been held.

Disney, under Michael Eisner, has abandoned traditional family values to

promote the perversions of the homo agenda. Members of the First Baptist
Church in Conyers, Ga., were interviewed. Rev. Paul Purvis said: "Has Mickey
gone Goofy, or have Christians grown lazy? Disney has fallen out of rank and no
longer stands with the family. This is not about making Disney poor, it is about
making us pure." Church member Matthew Hankins said: "We will not purchase
Disney products and will not go to Disney world."

Baptist Convention delegate Lisa Kinney of Largo, Fl., drew applause when she
said: "The boycott affirms to the world that we love Jesus more than we love
entertainment. If we must turn off our TVs, so be it., It's no great loss. We can't
participate in Disney's godlessness." Wiley Drake of Buena Park, Ca., said that he
took his three children to Disney last June and, "we were shocked to see men in
drag French kissing each other in front of our children." Convention official,
Richard Lamb, said: "Now Disney is going to find out just how many regiments
and just how many divisions of Godly people the Southern Baptists have!"

Walt Disney launched Disney Studios with a few thousand dollars. His animation
genius led to such classics as the 1937 production of Snow White which has
grossed over $400 million.

Walt Disney Exposed Communists in Hollywood.

The Communist Party had thoroughly infiltrated Hollywood during the 1930s and
1940s. On October 24, 1947, Walt Disney testified before the House Committee
on un-American Activities. He stated that Herbert Sorrell was a Communist who
tried to organize a Red Front called the "Congress of Studios Union" at Disney
Studios but his employees rejected it. Disney also named David Hilberman as a
Communist who had studied in Moscow in 1922 and got a job at Disney in 1938.
Hilberman began signing up members to make way for Sorrell before being fired.
Both were Jews and the Communist "Daily Worker" branded Disney as an "anti-
Semite" and attacked his films.

Walt Disney worked all his life to keep Jews out of Disney. He revealed to the
FBI the names of Jewish Hollywood producers and directors who were secret
members of a Communist Party cell promoting un-American propaganda.
Disney was anti-Semitic and knew of their reputation for "tolerating"
perversions which undermine society. Walt Disney would turn over in his
grave if he could see what Michael Eisner has done to Disney Studios.

Mark Gill, the president of Disney-owned Miramax (the company which released
the anti-Catholic movie "Priest"), admitted that his company thrives on racy,
often violent promotion for its movies. PRIEST is a pro-homosexual movie which

CLERKS (Miramax), a black and white film about New Jersey convenience store
clerks, was originally rated NC-17 because graphic and sexually explicit language

KIDS (Miramax) was described by Variety magazine as "one of the most

controversial American movies ever made." According to Newsweek, "the film
follows a number of barely pubescent looking boys and girls around New York City

rivals, but discounted by historians) that Thomas Jefferson fathered children by a

In the 1994 Disney movie THE SANTA CLAUSE, the number of an actual phone sex

Disney recently bought Capital Cities/ABC for $19 billion. On March 19, ABC aired
a "Dana Carvey Show" program which featured jokes and laughter about alcohol
abuse and cocaine addiction. The same show had a skit called "Under Five on
Comedy Central" in which children made crude jokes and resorted to name-
calling. Also on the show, Carvey portrayed George Washington using cocaine and
Ben Franklin in bed with another man. The same program had a cartoon skit
entitled "The Ambiguously Gay Duo" in which two Superman-style heroes are
homosexual lovers and drive a super car shaped like male genitalia. Finally, a
"Celebrity Bloopers" spoof featured 17 uses of the F-word (bleeped out, of
course; but its intent was clear). What more can our children and families expect
from ABC?

Disney dropped its 17 year-old "Glory and Pageantry of Christmas" display (one of
Disney's few concessions to the fact that Christmas is Christian) near Disney
World in Orlando, Florida, and replaced it with "Tropical Santa." Elements of the
new festival include, "Santa Claus, tree lighting and caroling with tropical
elements such as Caribbean and Jazz renditions of Christmas music, a musical
stage show with 'Tropical Santa,' street performers for kids, a lighted parade and
a holiday sing-a-long and fireworks finale."



In June, 1996, Disney helped promote the 6th annual "Gay and Lesbian Day at
Walt Disney World." Disney has allowed the homosexual organisers to portray
Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck as homosexual lovers; and Minnie Mouse and Daisy
Duck as lesbians.


Disney has extended company health benefits to live-in partners of homosexual

employees (the policy does not cover unmarried heterosexual couples who live

reports that a homosexual rights activist said that she was once told by Disney
chairman Michael Eisner that "as many as 40% of the company s 63,000 employees
might be gay." Thomas Schumacher, an open homosexual and one of the guiding
lights behind Disney's billion-dollar hit, THE LION KING, added, "...there are a lot

movie, NARNIA,
are face to face
with Pan, the

the left pictures PAN, the pagan sex

statue of the character, Mr. Tumnus,
in NARNIA. Pan is deceitfully
renamed to "Tumnus" in the movie,
but anyone who is familiar with
Satanism and witchcraft can
instantly recognize Pan, the evil
sexually-perverted god...

NARNIA, Tumnus is one of the good characters. Do
you think this is all just a coincidence? No my
friend, Satan is working relentlessly to poison the
minds of our children. Tragically, the average
Christian parent is so woefully ignorant of the
Word of God that they are easy prey for Satanic
deceptions. This is why so many professed
Christians see no harm in Harry Potter. Folks, 1st Samuel 15:23 declares that
witchcraft is a SIN. What if Harry Potter were going to the school of immoral sex
or cold-blooded murder? Don't you accept the Biblical teaching that witchcraft is
a wicked sin? Worldly believers have become desensitized by Rock-n-Roll, late
night shows, Hellivision, etc. It is tragic that sin is no longer recognized as sin!

NARNIA and Pedophilia

Lucy Pevensie's character and Mr.
Tumnus' character (played by
James McAvoy), and their subtle
interactions, give the impression
of a pedophile trying to lure a
little girl into his house. The
whole scene is creepy and the
spirit of pedophilia is definitely
at work in this movie. Tumnus
(Pan, a faun) represents the
Devil, trying to seduce a young
girl. The FACT that Tumnus is
modeled after Pan, one of the
most sexually perverted gods in
witchcraft, doesn't bode well for Walt Disney's intentions. If you doubt what I am
saying, you won't by the end of this article. In fact, you are going to be sickened.
Furthermore, Tumnus' and his flute have magical powers, just like the Devil.
Tumnus puts the little girl to sleep with his music. The next scene shows the
little girl waking up and Tumnus crying, claiming that he has done something very
bad. The subtle implication is that he sexually molested her. Remember folks,
pan is the demonic pagan god of sexual perversion and rape. In fact, most images
of pan show him with an erection.

Furthermore, the movie encourages little girls to trust strangers. In today's

world, Tumnus would be considered a pedophile. No man with a brain would
bring a strange little girl alone into his home. The whole atmosphere created by
this scene is one of pedophilia. Also notice how innocent and precious Walt
Disney makes the little girl if the best is prepared for Satan's delight (a
Satanic sacrifice). The whole concept of pan being a good character in NARNIA is
Satanic in itself. Pan is widely recognized by witches and Satanists as the god of

Disney's website calls BRIDGE TO
TERABITHIA the #1 Family Movie in
America. The truth is that Walt Disney is
of the Devil, and is using movies as a
means to corrupt America's families. The
two main characters in the movie are
Jess and Leslie, pictured in the photo to
the right. There are several disturbing
scenes in the movie, which clearly
evidence a Satanic agenda, and malicious
attack against Christianity. Walt Disney
has mastered the art of subliminal
messaging and placing suggestive
elements in their movies.

Leslie is portrayed in the movie as

coming from a liberal home, with open-
minded parents, plenty of love, fun, no
sadness, and a carefree atmosphere. In
sharp contrast, Jess is portrayed as
coming from a Christian home, with
close-minded miserable parents, a
disciplinary father who lacks compassion,
and even the suggestive element of child-molestation.

This movie is straight from Hell. To no surprise, they even deny the existence of
Hell in the movie. While riding in the back of a pickup truck, Jess and Leslie
begin talking about Hell. Jess is portrayed as being brainwashed, and believes
that those who don't believe the Bible go to Hell. Leslie openly states that she
doesn't believe people go to Hell for disobeying the Bible, arguing that God is too
busy maintaining His creation to have time to, in her own words, DAMN PEOPLE
TO HELL. Please keep in mind that this movie is targeted towards the youth, and
clearly sends out a blasphemous message that open-minded people don't believe
in Hell.

The entire movie is rooted in animosity against Christian churches, families, and
beliefs. At one point in the movie, Leslie suggests that she would like to go with
Jess to church on Sunday. Leslie is wearing pants, so Jess makes the statement...
"Women aren't allowed to wear pants in our church." Leslie sarcastically
responds by stating that she does own some dresses. At church, the old familiar
hymn is sung, The Old Rugged Cross. It is shortly after this scene that Jess and
Leslie are discussing Hell in the back of the pickup truck. Leslie makes the
statement to Jess... "You believe what you believe because YOU HAVE TO, and
hate it; I believe the same thing because I want to and it's so beautiful." Do you
see the trickery in her words? She claims to believe the SAME thing as Jess, but
she just denied God's judgment upon sinners, by refusing to believe that God
would damn anyone to Hell. Clearly, she doesn't believe the same thing as Jess,
but is made to appear as the wiser.

When Jess and his little sister, Maybel, profess their belief in the Biblical doctrine
of damnation to Hell, Leslie instantly questions them both by asking... "Who
taught you that?" (implying that they've been brainwashed by their abusive
authoritarian Christian father). The entire scene is intended to influence the
viewer to associate open-mindedness with a denial of eternal damnation to Hell,
and to associate the Biblical belief in Hell with brainwashing by close-minded
parents. In other words, open-minded people would never believe the Bible. It's
important to see that Leslie is questioning Jess' beliefs; but Jess never questions
hers. Jess could have just as easily have asked Leslie, "Who TAUGHT you that
there is no Hell?" There is much subtle psychology implemented in this movie to
corrupt the thinking of young people. Truly, Walt Disney is sold out to Satan. It
didn't come as a surprise to me that the same producers who made the godless
filth, NARNIA, also made BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA. Evil.

The father, Jesse Aarons Sr., is seen throughout the movie being extra
affectionate towards his youngest daughter, while giving a continual cold
shoulder to his son, Jess. The overall temperament of the father towards
everything is cold, until it comes to his little girl. At one point in the movie, Jess
secretly watches his father being affectionate towards his daughter, and the
producers film it in such a way that a moment of suspicion arises. They did the
exact same thing in NARNIA, when the little girl woke up in Tumnus' (i.e., Pan's)
house, and he told her he had done some bad things while she was sleeping. Walt
Disney is known for incorporating suggestive sexual deviance (see photos at
bottom) into their films. Though subtle, the fact that the father in BRIDGE TO
TERABITHIA is cold towards Jess (for no apparent reason), and is extra friendly
towards the youngest daughter, does raise suspicions as to WHY.

Another element of sexual suggestiveness in the movie BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA is

the creepy relationship between Jess and his adult school teacher, Miss Edmunds.
With all the actual reports in the news recently of female teachers seducing
underage boys into child-molestation, you'd think Walt Disney would have enough
decency to avoid the issue. Instead, they show Jess developing a strong physical
attraction for Miss Edmunds early in the movie. As he gazes at her in desire,
Leslie walks by in the classroom and says... "Why don't you take a picture, it
lasts longer." As the movie progresses, Jess continues to fall in love with Miss
Edmunds. Towards the latter part of the movie, Miss Edmunds calls Jess at his
home and invites him to go out with her for the day. Jess asks his mother if he
can go, but she is half asleep and doesn't fully understand what he is saying. This
is very subtle here! MOST mothers would be very suspicious about an adult
female teacher wanting to spend time alone with her teenage son. By the mother
being asleep in the movie, and incoherent, it adds even more suggestiveness to
the scene. It is clear from the movie that Jess' sleeping mother didn't understand
what he was saying to her. In other words, Jess has been in love with his sexy
teacher, and now he's going to be alone with her, and his parents don't know
about it. This is how sick Walt Disney is. NO FEMALE TEACHER IN HER RIGHT MIND
something to consider, what kind of message is Walt Disney sending to teenage
boys everywhere? In the movie, Jess and Miss Edmunds, just the two of them, go
visit an art museum together. The entire scene of them being alone together in
the car is sexually suggestive and creepy, especially with the abundance of
recent female molestation cases by public school teachers in America. What is
wrong with Walt Disney? This is just more of Walt Disney's smut.

Another point of interest is that Jess tells Miss Edmunds that he has never been
to the museum before. This clearly builds further indictment in the movie against
Jess' parents as being blinded by religion, close-minded, and out of touch with
art, life, and reality. Leslie's parents are portrayed as dancing, being happy,
being liberal-minded, carefree, etc. Jess' parents are shown worrying over bills
and living in misery (as if Leslie's parents don't have any bills!). Jess is portrayed
throughout the movie as a slave to Christian brainwashing and rigid strictness.
The producers know exactly what they're doing. The agenda behind this movie is
clear--Christianity must go!

Towards the end of the movie, Leslie dies in a tragic drowning accident, trying to
cross the creek that her and Jess had always crossed while together. Jess is
crying in his father's arms and says, "She went to Hell because I wasn't there to
help her." And then Jess says, "Now I'm going to Hell too because I wasn't there
for her." The implication is clear from the movie that Jess has a paranoia about
Hell, taught to him by his abusive and calloused father, and the close-minded
church he is forced to attend. This movie is a vicious attack on Christianity!

There is an presence in the movie who dwells in TERABITHIA. His name in the
movie is the DARK MASTER. This is clearly Satan. In the movie, the Dark master
has control over his creatures (demons). Towards the end of the movie, the Dark
Master finally outruns and overtakes Jess. At the very moment that the Dark
Master is about to kill Jess, Jess looks up and sees his father. In other words, Jess'
father (the Christian) is Satan in the movie. BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA portrays the
Christian father as an authoritarian who is cruel, miserable, problematic, and
ignorant. It's also interesting to note that the producers don't attack the Christian
mother--they attack the father in every way possible!!!

In another scene in the movie, the Christian father wants to kill a raccoon that's
sneaking into their greenhouse and eating all the vegetables. Jess shows his
heart by freeing the raccoon far in the woods. The father gets angry at Jess for
showing mercy on the raccoon. Again, the writers of this movie script went out of
their way to demonize the Christian father.

accompanied [attorney Gunther] Lessing to American Nazi party meetings and rallies.3 According
to one of [Disney’s] animators, Arthur Babbitt,4 “On more than one occasion, I observed Walt
Disney and Gunther Lessing there, along with a lot of other prominent Nazi-afflicted [sic]
Hollywood personalities. Disney was going to meetings all the time. I was invited to the homes of
several prominent actors and musicians, all of whom were actively working for the American Nazi
party.” i… Walt was also committed to the ‘America First’ movement and became one of
Hollywood’s most active prewar isolationists. Under Lessing’s tutelage, Disney discovered how
the passions and power of political activism could be used as weapons for personal gain. And later
on, for revenge.5 As part of Lessing’s antiunion activities, he persuaded Walt to become an official
Hollywood informant for the FBI.6 Disney testified before the House Un-American Activities
Committee, and he named several of his striking employees as Communist sympathizers.7

Disney’s World
The Magical Kingdom has a darkside. Disney World is the most visited
theme park in the world. Every year millions of children visit the theme park
making it a haven for pedophiles and child molesters. Dispite their family
image, Disney has done nothing to stop this. Disney…refuse[d] to run
background checks on their employees for past child offenses.ii Disney sent
no employees to a free program, run by Orlando police, to educate local
security guards in how to spot pedophiles at theme parks. By their
indifference Disney allows scores [of] children to have thier [sic] lives ruined
every year. When a molestation occurs, Disney has been uncoroperative with
local police during investigations by not releasing information on the crime.8

Crimes are covered up at Disney World…to maintain the myth that bad
things don’t happen in the Magic Kingdom.… It’s the same reason the
company is unwilling to cooperate in efforts to nab child molesters working
at Disney World.9 The message, never stated but avuncularly implied, is that
America’s values ought to reflect those of the Walt Disney Company and not
the other way around.10

While it’s difficult to know just who is working at Disney, copies of the
company’s security records reveal that numerous employees have arrests for a
variety of sex crimes.… Even repeat sex-crime offenders with criminal
records have operated at Disney for years, apparently with the company’s

For decades, despite evidence that was obvious to everybody else, [FBI Director John
Edgar] Hoover claimed there was no such thing as “organized crime.” He refused to
allow the FBI’s resources to be used to fight the Mob, instead going after
“communists” and petty criminals.iii Why? According to author Anthony Summers in
Official and Confidential: The Secret Life of J. Edgar Hoover, it was because the Mob
had very explicit photos of Hoover and [assistant director Clyde] Tolson having sex,
and information about an arrest of Hoover in New Orleans on a morals charge in the 1920s.13 The
conflicting pressures of dealing with his sexual confusion in private while posturing as J. Edgar
Hoover, masculine, all-American hero, in public would eventually drive the F.B.I. director to seek
medical help.14 [Though, when] police investigated a child porn and gay-teen prostitution ring in
Los Angeles in 1969, at a time when Hoover and Tolson were visiting the area on another of their
“inspection tours,”…the cops were surprised to hear from several different teen boys that they had
been picked up by Hoover and Tolson in an FBI limousine. According to one fifteen-year-old,
Hoover lectured him about his long hair before having sex with him. Fifteen men were indicted in
that investigation, but not Hoover, Tolson, or any of the ring’s other celebrity clients.15

To this day, there is a general dislike of Hoover within the

homosexual (male and female) population,…the common
perception being that he and Tolson were “hypocritical” in this
regard [Leigh W. Rutledge, The Gay Book of Lists (Boston: Alyson
Publ., 1987), pp. 48-49; Dennis Altman, The Homosexualization of
America (Boston: Beacon Press, 1982), p. 130; Vern L. Bullough, Homosexuality: A History (New
York: Garland STPM Press, 1979), p. 139; Austin American Statesman, 24 Sep 1989, p. A6; and
Richard Gid Powers, Secrecy and Power: The Life of J. Edgar Hoover (New York: Free Press,
1987), p. 172].… From 1953 to his death in 1972 he personally directed an illegal nationwide
surveillance program of homosexual rights groups [Austin American Statesman, 24 Sep 1989, p.
A6],…[though] a number of Hoover’s friends were also homosexual, most notably the late [mafia
lawyer, CIA asset and McCarthyite] Roy Cohn [Sidney Zion, The Autobiography of Roy Cohn
(Secaucus, NJ: Lyle Stuart, Inc.), pp. 9, 11-12; and Ovid Demaris, The Director: An Oral
Biography of J. Edgar Hoover (New York: Harper’s Magazine Press, 1975), p. 159].16

[President Richard] Nixoniv, v gave J. Edgar Hoover a state

funeral and praised him as an American hero. Ronald Reagan,
then governor of California, said, “No 20th-century man has
meant more to this country than Hoover.” Soon enough,
however, it became clear that Hoover had long abused his office,
undermining basic American freedoms he had claimed to hold
so dear. Yet 20 years after his death, in spite of the compelling
evidence that he was a force for great evil in the nation’s life,
Hoover’s name still gleams, in letters of gold, high on the walls
of F.B.I. headquarters in Washington.17

“J. Edgar Hoover’s name is a stain on the building,” [Harry Reid of Nevada] said [3
Feb 1998] from the Senate floor. “No other public official did so much to undermine
civil liberties as did J. Edgar Hoover.” 18

“Mr. Hoover lived outside the law he pretended to uphold,” [New Jersey Senator
Robert] Torricelli said.19

A conspiracy may be a continuing one; actors may drop out and others may drop in; the details of
operation may change from time to time; the members need not know each other or the part
played by others; a member may not need to know all the details of the plan of the operation; he
must, however, know the purpose of the conspiracy and agree to become a party to a plan to
effectuate that purpose [Craig U.S.C.C.A.Cal., 81 F.2d 816, 822].20

[Janet] Reno’s history as a prosecutor in day-care cases in Florida is not

encouraging.21 They are still cleaning up from the “child abuse ring”
witchhunts Reno did.22, vi

In the 1980s, Miami prosecutors devised a nationally-imitiated [sic] method

to win child molestation convictions. Today, some of those cases are
unraveling.23 The so-called “Miami Method,” developed…by the office of
Dade County State Attorney Janet Reno, became a national model for
vigilantly pursuing day care sexual abuse cases. Reno set up a special children’s unit inside the
state attorney’s office staffed with “child experts” who specialized in cases of child sexual abuse.
The “Miami Method” utililized [sic] videotaped interviews with children and expert testimony
assuring jurors that the children should be believed. A state law was changed to allow the children
to testify from the judge’s chambers. The method also required physical evidence and the
testimony of an adult eyewitness.24

What is troublesome here is the manner in which [Janet Reno] pressured [people to testify and
confess]. If outlined in a human rights report the methods endorsed by Reno would justly be
called brainwashing. They included isolation, quasi-hypnosis, conditioned response and kindred
mind-bending techniques.25

In the early years of the Clinton administration, the Justice Department, under Attorney General
Janet Reno, appeared to be operating with the intent of legalizing a substantial portion of child
pornography.26 [In 1993,] within months of Janet Reno’s promise to “protect our children from
abuse,” 27 [the Justice Department] tried to redefine child pornography to make it more difficult
for prosecutors to go after…child molesters.28 [A brief filed by Solicitor General Drew S. Days
3d] told the [Supreme] Court that a Federal appeals court had used “an impermissibly broad
standard” in interpreting and applying a law that made it a Federal crime to distribute or possess
tapes or pictures of minors involved in “sexually explicit conduct.” 29

Justice Department officials insist they were not trying to undercut child pornography
prosecutions but instead interpret the law in a way that would save it from being struck down as
unconstitutionally vague and overly broad by the Supreme Court.30 The Reno Justice Department
asked the Supreme Court to reinterpret the federal child pornography statute in a way that will
result in legalizing a substantial amount of child pornography, encouraging further criminal child
exploitation.31 “It’s simply not the kind of hard-core child pornography at the center of the
industry,” said [a senior official in the Justice Department], who spoke on condition of

distributors of this wretched material cannot be prosecuted unless children are depicted
lasciviously engaging in sexual conduct and the material must include a visible depiction of the
genitals or pubic area of the body [Richard Carelli (The Associated Press), “Administration
Softens Its Definition of Hard-Core Child Pornography,” 23 Sep 1993].33 Reno has argued for
what amounts to unprecedented and unconscionable interpretations of the exiting child
pornography laws in order to prevent the Supreme Court from declaring such laws
unconstitutional. This is a smokescreen to conceal the real agenda — the legalization of child
pornography under a warped and depraved interpretation of the First Amendment.34, vii

The moderate and far-right…accused the Clinton administration of being soft on child porn.35
From the floor of the Senate came a resolution, passed by a vote of 100 to 0, condemning Days’s
brief. Wilting under the heat, Bill Clinton quickly caved, sending a rebuke to the attorney general,
Janet Reno, that denounced Days’s reading of the law. A few months later, when a seat came open
on the Supreme Court, the solicitor general, whose name had been on every White House short
list, was never seriously mentioned for the job.36
Saying the Justice Department has misread [the] child pornography law, more than 100 members
of Congress asked…for the right to argue in court on how the law should be interpreted.… The
lawmakers say no change in the law is necessary.37

Although candidate Clinton stated “that aggressive enforcement of federal obscenity laws by the
Justice Department — particularly by the Child Exploitation and Obscenity section — will be a
priority in a Clinton-Gore administration,” 38 statistics and other evidence demonstrate little or no
prosecution of illegal pornography by the Reno Justice Department. Syracuse University report
(TRAC, 1997) shows that obscenity prosecutions…decreased 86% since Clinton and Gore were

“was never interested in taking on and prosecuting illegal obscenity,” much to the delight of local
porn peddlers.

Michael Berish was one of the lead officers in the City of Miami Police Department’s vice unit.
He retired from the police force in 1994. Within his jurisdiction, he noted that “the majority of
obscenity cases involved organized crime figures that were responsible for the interstate
distribution of this material.”

As a career police officer, he became frustrated when Reno absolutely refused (to him personally)
to prosecute cases, even with the extensive evidence his department provided, with some even
involving organized crime figures. This same pattern of not prosecuting illegal pornography is
evident…in the Clinton/Gore administration’s DOJ.39

Whatever else she may be, Janet [“Barbecue” 40] Reno is

consistent. She “saves” children wholesale, as she did at
Waco,viii and she “saves” them retail, as she [was] determined
to do with Elian Gonzalez.41, ix

In spite of Reno’s peculiar vision of the attorney general’s

duties and her appalling record, she has enjoyed nearly
universal acclaim as the Clinton Administration’s star Cabinet
member.42 Janet Reno has gotten a free ride from the
mainstream media who have refused to look at her checkered history of deceit, incompetence, and
mayhem.43 In fact, Reno has a long history of causing civil disturbances, riots, and loss of life and
property through bone-headed prosecutorial decisions.44

Her contributions of media-friendly stormtrooper tactics combined with modern TV shows like
COPS and True Stories of the Highway Patrol served to remind the public of what would happen
to them if they decided to turn off their TVs and take to the streets to protest things like wars,
failing economies, and dismantling of the social welfare system.…

One in three children in this country is overweight. But, until now, it was unclear how much the
nation's largest food and beverage companies spent influencing kids to eat unhealthy foods.
The companies spent about $1.6 billion marketing their products -- mainly soda, fast food and cereal --
to children in 2006, according to a Federal Trade Commission report on food marketing to children
released yesterday.
The biggest category, $492 million, was carbonated-beverage advertising. In contrast, the Milk
Processor Education Program -- which sponsors the celebrity-studded "Got Milk?" ads -- spent about
$67 million on advertising in 2006.
For years, nutrition advocacy groups and researchers have attempted to estimate the amount of youth-
targeted advertising, usually pegging it at $10 billion to $15 billion a year.
"We were a little surprised about the dollar value," said Lydia Parnes, director of the FTC's Bureau of
Consumer Protection.
Previous estimates included non-food products as well as coupons and discounts at restaurants that
targeted adults, perhaps accounting for some of the disparity, according to the commission.
This was the first report with hard facts. Last year, the FTC issued subpoenas to 44 companies,
including Coca-Cola, Kraft Foods, General Mills and Procter & Gamble, as well as chains such as
McDonald's and Burger King. The commission sought confidential financial data on advertising and
promotions targeting children ages 2 to 17. The report, however, did not identify how much companies
spent individually, and it did not separate junk food from healthier options.
More and more we see advertising for kids to get them hooked on high-fat, high-sugar, high-salt diets,"
said Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa), who commissioned the study in 2005. "Something had to be done. We
weren't getting honest information from companies."
Margo Wootan, nutrition policy director of the Center for Science in the Public Interest, said other
estimates included items, such as promotion events and travel that the FTC didn't, knocking $5 billion
off previous calculations.
"So much of the data is proprietary that all marketing professors could do is estimate," Wootan said.
"We always knew those numbers floating around weren't ideal, but they were what we had."
Still, government healthy-eating initiatives are dwarfed by the $1.6 billion. The Centers for Disease
Control's budget for nutrition, physical activity, and obesity is about $41 million for Americans of all
ages. The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Team Nutrition, whose goal is to improve children's eating
and physical-activity habits, has an annual budget of about $10 million.
Lawmakers' concerns about the rise of childhood obesity -- the percentage of children who are obese
has tripled since 1980 -- prompted the commission to conduct the study, but the link between marketing
and obesity was not specifically addressed.
"The obesity problem is a complex problem," Parnes said. "It's certainly not only about advertising. It's
about fewer physical education programs. It's about the fact that our children watch more TV and play
more video games and are more sedentary."
The study measured traditional media outlets, as well as the Web, sponsorship, promotions in schools
and packaging. The $1.6 billion, directed toward children ages 2 to 17, represented 17 percent of the
total annual marketing budgets for the reporting companies' brands.
Fast-food restaurants spent nearly $294 million on promotions, evenly targeting young children and
teens. Cereal advertising totalled $237 million, with a vast majority aimed at children under 12.
Television continues to dominate as the most popular way to reach consumers, as companies spent 46
percent of marketing budgets on this medium.
New media -- including the Internet, digital and viral marketing -- have become an important part of
promotional activities but account for only 5 percent of marketing. Web sites, less costly than
television, appeal to teens and can feature free ring tones, music and add-ons for MySpace pages.
Cross-promotion campaigns, which make up 13 percent of youth marketing, were designed so that
young consumers would be reminded of products nearly everywhere they turned.
For instance, in 2006, "Superman Returns" and "Pirates of the Caribbean" were used to promote a
number of items such as fast-food meals, frozen waffles, fruit snacks and chips. Ads appeared on
television, the Web, packaging, in-store displays and in movie theaters. Limited-edition foods were
created in their honor. Young consumers could go online to play movie-themed games and enter
sweepstakes. And companies gave out free toys, posters and other trinkets with proof of purchase.
A number of programs aimed at curbing obesity have already swept the business community since the
commission collected data for its report -- a study intended as a benchmark to measure those efforts in
the future.
Launched last July, the Council of Better Business Bureaus' Children's Food and Beverage Advertising
Initiative has enlisted 14 large companies, who have pledged to reduce child-directed advertising or to
feature "better-for-you" products in youth advertising.
The Alliance for a Healthier Generation, which aims to fight childhood obesity, is working with major
beverage companies and the American Beverage Association to reduce portion sizes, cut calories and
remove sugary sodas from schools nationwide by the 2009-10 school year. Snack food companies have
also announced nutrition guidelines with the alliance.
Some media and entertainment companies have promised to limit the licensing of popular characters
and to promote only healthy foods.
"As a nutrition professional, I talk to companies and hear what they pledge to do," said Wootan. "As a
mom, I don't see a big difference in the marketplace yet. When I watch Nickelodeon with my daughter
or walk down the aisle of a grocery store, it seems overwhelmingly foods marketed to kids are

We are living today in an era of ideological backlash. If the 1990s have been
marked by an upsurge of optimism following the end of the Cold War and the fall
of the Iron Curtain, the first decade of the new century is coming to a close with
some loud voices clamouring for the Cold War to be brought back. In the 1990s,
the few politicians who urged a violent clampdown on immigration and viewed
multiculturalism as a deadly sin were called right-wing radicals. Today, their
number has increased and some of them are called Presidents and Prime

And, as would be inevitable in such times, even in countries that are not known
as theocratic regimes or dictatorships, the school is increasingly called to become
a place of ideological indoctrination.

The term ‘indoctrination’ itself is seldom used. Instead, education policy makers
speak of ‘national identity’ (France, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia), ‘patriotic
upbringing’ (Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Serbia) and ‘value education’ (Latvia,
Kazakhstan). What these policies, projected or in some cases even implemented
by national education systems, have in common, is the element of dogma that
the students are expected to imbibe without exercising their critical faculties –
which they are otherwise invited to exercise by contemporary pedagogy. The
dogma in this case concerns a certain view of the nation, of its past, its values
and its culture, which is to be taken for granted by the younger generations.
Some scholars have used the term ‘civil enculturation’,[1] but it does not
distinguish between state-generated content and the effects of first-hand
experiences of life in a community. Being taught that the state is equitable and
just does not help if you see racial abuse in the streets, and no white middle-class
people are prepared to live in your suburb. The experience of indifference,
discrimination and inequality can completely undermine and transform the official
message in the textbooks. It makes sense to distinguish between the actual
result of ‘value education’ combined with life experience and between the
intended, ‘ideal’ message that our states have again decided to project on
younger generations. That message can be adequately described as

The history of universal school-based indoctrination is relatively short, as is the

history of universal schooling. Before the days when states took it upon
themselves to provide free education to all citizens, those who could afford it
chose a school for their children from a range of privately organised education
services. Those came with their own ideological package – Catholic schools (the
oldest in the market, and strongest on indoctrination), English public schools with
their unwritten ethos of physical stoicism (‘stiff upper lip’) for the boys who were
to run the Empire, military schools for the career-minded in Russia and Prussia.
The choice of school was a social choice, it conditioned a student’s future life.
Within each country, the choice was limited. One could not aspire to a career in
eighteenth-century Vienna if one had attended a Protestant school instead of a
Jesuit college. Nor could one hope to find oneself at home in the British
establishment before the middle of the twentieth century, unless one had
attended a public school. Indoctrination was part of the education package. It
was, however, class-based and tradition-based rather than nation-based.

The heyday of indoctrination through education in Europe came with the rise of
nationalism which coincided with the advent of universal schooling. Even
countries with a fairly decentralised and class-based school system had its share
of patriotic indoctrination, while in the most centralised education systems it
reigned supreme. Universal schooling was not only a means of creating a French
nation out of a mosaic of regions and dialects, it was a mechanism of suppressing
the historic variety of the regions and of imposing a single vision of the nations on
generations of individuals who otherwise could have perceived it through their
own experience.

The ultimate triumph and ultimate failure of school-based indoctrination, however,

took place in the school systems of totalitarian states. The ideological content of
schooling in Nazi Germany had a relatively brief life, but we have ample evidence
from the Soviet school system. That experience attests to the fact that even a
very established and formidable indoctrination machine is ultimately powerless
when it comes up against social and political realities that disprove its message.

The new search for ‘updated’ formulae of instilling patriotic feelings and national
loyalties does not stand up to critical examination even from the fairly
conservative positions of republicanism. The new doctrine of ‘national identity’
disregards the distinction between a free patriotism based on attachment to
individual political rights that the republic provides, and blind nationalism. As
Maurizio Viroli puts it, “for the patriots, the primary value is the republic and the
free way of life that the republic permits; for the nationalists, the primary values
are the spiritual and cultural unity of the people.”[2]

If our schools had functioned as little democracies empowering the individuals

who study there and giving them a sense of equality and security, as the
prominent liberal thinker John Dewey had proposed many years ago,[3] there
would be no need for spoon-feeding students with dogma. The current policy-
makers seem to disregard the formative effect of first-hand experiences of
citizenship, equality and participation out of hand. In their view, the return to a
unified, state-generated content of ‘values’ is the antidote to globalisation,
immigration, home-grown terrorism and moral relativism. Tens of thousands of
young people leaving every year in search of a better life in more liberal societies
demonstrate the fallacy of ‘patriotic upbringing’ in their home countries, from
Kazakhstan to Latvia to Poland. West European policy makers would be wise to
learn from this experience, rather than transpose the anxieties over ‘national
identity’ to their own education systems and generate similarly meaningless
ideological content that life will inevitably prove false.

Researchers estimate that the average child views 40,000 television commercials per year
and that children influence parental spending to the tune of $670 billion (APA).

Advertisers understand that preschoolers are vulnerable to marketing. Young children

consider commercials “public service” messages offering options rather than as messages
designed to promote spending money.

Your preschool son or daughter will likely be able to distinguish a commercial from his or her
favorite TV shows from an early age, but he or she will not understand the intent of such
televised messages. Your child will see the short segments as mini programs featuring fun
characters and products.

TV Commercials are Confusing for Youngsters

It is not surprising that commercials are confusing for young children. Advertisers focus on
branding when promoting products for young children. Company characters (often animated)
are featured and having fun is the message presented. In a recent study, researchers found
that actual food was seldom shown on commercials for fast food restaurants. Your son or
daughter isn’t being sold hamburgers and French fries. He or she is being sold a good play

Products Marketed To Young Children on Television

Products marketed to children are another concern. Food is, by far, the most common type of
product marketed to children as noted in a study by the Kaiser Family Foundation. Your child
is inundated with commercials for fast food chains, sweetened breakfast cereals, snacks, and
candy. Research indicates that marketed foods are almost exclusively high in fat, sugar,
and/or sodium. Advertisers will add notes like "part of a balanced breakfast." Kids are not

Toys are also "sold" to kids on television. The toys always look wonderful, and the television
kids are having loads of fun. LIttle wonder that children beg for toys they see advertised on
TV. Kids don't understand that batteries may be required or that the toy may need to be
assembled. An advertiser is not going to say, "This toy is great fun for a few days. Then it gets
dull and ends up in the bottom of the toy box."

Children’s Television Act (CTA)

In 1990, the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) enacted the Children’s

Television Act. The FCC required that television, cable and satellite providers air a
specified amount of core programming with an educational/informational focus and
that advertising be limited in shows designed for children.

Stations must air at least 3 hours of educational/informational designed for children ages 16
and under per week. Programs must be at least 30 minutes in length, shown between 7 a.m.
and 10 p.m. and be aired on a weekly basis.

For programs designed and aired for an audience under 12 years of age, commercials are
limited to 10.5 minutes per hour on weekends and 12 minutes per hour during the week.
While the limits are helpful, they do not address the content provided by advertisers and how
much of that content is presented.

”America’s Army” is a video game developed in part by the US Army to lure

potential recruits.

The Devil is sly so it is no wonder we get entranced so easily. With all the flashing pixels on the
television, computer and movie screens, combined with all the hidden, subliminal messages (audio and
video) secretly snuck into the programming we get enthralled by, our minds become programmed to
respond. If any person were to speak out against the entertainment we have been hypnotized to believe
as suitable family entertainment most would turn an immediate deaf ear to it as one conditioned to
respond in that way. The ones entertaining us are master hypnotists using technology to make there job
of controlling our minds that much easier. Like entranced sheep in front of our tv shows and video
games we move and speak like the automatons we have been programmed to be.

I hope this e-mag is helping you break free from the entrancements of a doomed society. Doomed we
are if we do not wake up and declare independance from the system's mind numbing propaganda, hype
and brain washing! If you are interested in learning more please drop me a line in my email posted
above and below. I am not an 'expert' by the elites standpoint. I do not hold degrees or masters from
any university. However it does not take a rocket scientist to do some research. It does not take a doctor
to come to logical conclusions! You or I can, regardless of education or mis-information, stand out as
individuals independant of mainstream media to go against the flow of popular mind controlled thought
and find out the truth about the dogma we have been fed since babes!

As frustrating as most things are in a world of major deceptions and lies to one awakened/awakening
we must take a lot of deep breaths and try to maintain a positive outlook. Envision love, peace and
goodwill even when friends and family call you (or think you to be) a raving lunatic. Try to stay
focussed on reality even though most others' 'reality' is a series of 'slide images' placed before them as
all that is not.
