Part-time $9 per hour Application Deadline: Open until Filled Summary: Join Lowcountry Local First, an entrepreneurial non-profit organization made up of over 500 local businesses and community leaders working to transform and model a sustainable local economy. Provide your exceptional administrative and outreach skills to support a community of business innovators in local food, supporting independent businesses, and mentoring a new breed of entrepreneurs to design their business with a sustainable vision. Lowcountry Local First is a rapidly growing, results-oriented, small team workplace. The Member Outreach position entails working closely with the Member Development Director, staff, LLF members, community organizations and LLF Membership Committee. This person must be extremely organized, be highly detail oriented, have the ability to handle and resolve conflict, excellent listening and communication skills, able to work well with others as well as work independently, and be profic ient with office software products and database systems. Essential Responsibilities Organize monthly Member Meetings, weekly coffee talks and quarterly new member orientation with Director Attend all monthly Member Meetings, checking members in, getting nametags etc. Make sure that all members receive new member or renewing member information Deliver member packets weekly Reach out to potential new members Enter all member data into CiviCRM and insure it is current and accurate Generate lists from CiviCRM for Neighborhood Captains, Committee Members, E.D. and Board Enter all lists generated through events for our newsletter into CiviCRM Send Renewal reminders via Civi and mail Manage and man events including the farmers market booth every other Saturday Manage inventory of t-shirts etc Write thank you notes as needed Skills & Qualifications The ideal candidate: Has great passion for the mission of Lowcountry Local First Has experience in sales Excels in customer service Is self-motivated and self-regulated Has extreme attention for detail Has excellent problem solving skills Has excellent inter-personal skills and an energy that attracts others Has excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to represent Lowcountry Local First in a professional manner with diverse constituencies Has the ability to handle multiple tasks and wear the many hats required of a small non-profit staff A self-starter who thrives on deadlines; can effectively manage multiple projects at a time; Highly organized with the ability to implement systems and follow-up processes Has demonstrated strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and database management skills. Has a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
