Social Responsibility
The cooperative being a peoples organization
has a heavy social responsibility that requires it to maintain a human and nationalistic stand, discharge its function and render services in the most professional manner, exercise judiciousness and sincerity to everyone, and be responsive to the needs not only of its membership but also of the general public

In operationalizing the Social Responsibility, the Cooperatives must

To provide optimum supply of quality products and services at reasonable price or interest; and to be an active catalyst for change towards the total development of man and a potent political force in the community and in the country. Therefore, it does not engage only in economic activities but also in advocacy for reforms, policy directions, and local governance, thereby becoming an active partner together with other NGOs in seeing to it that progress is achieved and that benefits redound to the general public. But in the conduct of all these, it, must exercise partisan political neutrality.

a. Develop Code of Governance and Ethical Standards to be observed by the members, officers and employees of the cooperative subject to the approval of the Board of Directors and ratification of the General/Representative Assembly; Disseminate, promote and implement the approved Code of Governance and Ethical standards; Monitor compliance with the Code of Governance and Ethical Standards and recommend to the Board of Directors measures to address the gap, if any;

Conduct initial investigation or inquiry upon receipt of a complaint involving Code of Governance and Ethical Standards and submit report to the Board of Directors together with the appropriate sanctions. e.
