The mind is a powerful instrument and, if not properly taken care of, it can tur n on you.

The states of consciousness that lie beyond our own, accessed through something as simple as slightly overusing a substance and not realizing it, or combing two synchronous substances, are incredibly profound and, if you're unprepared, can b e terribly frightening. The act of explaining a deep psychedelic experience, a strange dream, or psycho sis to somebody who hasn't experience it is like explaining a kaleidoscope to a blin d man. Those without the experience cannot hope to understand it properly. The Rabbit Hole runs deep and it does not forgive those who get sucked deep int o it. I've had a number of incidents where I've traveled far into the realms of complete insanity, through psychedelic trips, or through sobriety and an overact ive imagination. Explaining them is near impossible, and the time it would take to construct fitting amounts of description for the events is improbable. I encourage everybody to explore The Rabbit Hole in some little way, regardless of what it is. Some of the personal techniques I know of are as follows. 1. Meditation Of course, meditation is the technique with both the most potential, given that practice over time is the only limiting factor, and the most important of all ot hers. Meditation should be sought for simply what it is, being able to live in present moment. Alternative mindstates, dream-like occurrences, astral projection, and old memories can be sought through meditation, but those are side effects and sh ould be acknowledged after meditation's foremost benefit. This also applys to the str ess reduction and humbling that meditation also often gives their users. 2. Binaural Beats Binaural beats are mainly used as a meditation aid, to help more easily achieve altered states of mind. They may also be used to help somebody concentrate, espe cially with the higher brainwave frequencies. They work by playing one noise in one ear and another noise of a higher pitch in the other ear. This creates a third in yo ur mind that may allow you to achieve altered mindsets. Binaural beats may be found on Youtube through a quick search, and you only require a headset like Turtle Be aches to utilize them. It may take initial practice, however, to achieve results. 3. Lucid Dreaming Lucid dreaming is the act of realizing you are dreaming during a dream and taki ng control of the experience. This allows you to, literally, do anything you would like within a world that feels more intense and "real" than the physical world. You h ave complete control over the imagination of your mind, with the enhanced perception

s and memory access that your dream state contains. Lucid dreams are hard to achie ve for most people, but they are incredibly important for self-exploration and traveling through the inner-mind. People who work on dream recalls, by staying s till after awaking from sleep and remembering their dreams followed by writing them d own, will have a much better chance of lucid dreaming over time. Other things like doing reality checks throughout the day, thinking about lucid dreaming before sl eep, using binaural beats, meditating frequently, ingesting dream herb, or using a de vice to induce lucid dreams will also stand a much better chance of having success. 4. Psychedelics Do you have an ego? Psychedelics will fix that. The world of drugs is filled wi th many substances, most taboo. The un-taboo drugs are generally sheltered through semi-dishonest word use, such as getting "drunk" when it would otherwise be labe led being "high" if it didn't have that other name slapped onto it. Psychedelics hav e also fallen into this taboo umbrella, but they are some of the most useful tools we have available, as humans, to understand the mind. Most work by shutting down other sections of the brain, which causes things lik e sensory perception to be compromised or altered. This can do things beyond your wildest dreams, literally. Dreams are the result of large doses of DMT, and even normal doses [enough to break into DMT hyperspace] can have such amazing, profou nd effects that your sober mind can barley progress the experience. LSD, DXM, LSA, psilocybin, salvinorins, and THC all are examples of substances that can send th e user to what can be described as alternative realms and universes. Psychedelic experiences are just as much experiences as skydiving ; they are life changing and meant to be used for enlightenment, not recreation. Their mess ages should be used to better the self. 5. Astral Projection or Out of Body Experience Scientifically, I'd view these as lucid dreams where the user feels disconnect from their body and is able to view environments and generate new ones much like a lucid dream, but is doing so in places it is familiar with. There are reports of it being an actual phenomeno n where the user can travel to anywhere, separate from their body, and recount detail by detail t he things they see, which are then confirmed by the people the observer watched. I can't speak much on this one. To achieve it, one must meditate into a deep st ate where the practitioner is not moving their eyes or body. This sends the body to sleep whil e the mind is awake. I've had a few astral experiences but none that confirm anything. I encourage yo u viewers to give this a go, look into it online, and try to prove the non-scientific theory. This has major implications

regardless of the way it functions, however. Well, you now have a few ways to explore your mind. Exercise everything you do with caution. The inner-universe is glorious but also ugly. It can lead to enlightenment or lead to insanity. Whatever it is that you do to explore it, jus t know that it exists just beyond the corridors of your sobriety. Just know that this reality is only how you perceive it and things are never as they truly seem . Until we meet again, my children, namaste.
