OFFENSE EXPLANATIONS
Aggravated reckless driving causes and inflicts injury while driving without due caution at a speed and manner so as to endanger or likely to endanger any person.
Exhibition driving in a manner which disturbs the peace by creating or causing unnecessary engine noise, tire squeal, skid, or slide upon acceleration or braking; or driving and executing or attempting a series of unnecessarily abrupt turns.
An unauthorized person is someone who does not have a driver's license. Each individual in vehicle that has a license will be ticketed. If no one in vehicle has a license, each individual will be ticketed and the vehicle will be impounded. If the property stolen has a value of less than $500.00, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than 3 days or a fine of not more than $1000.00 or 3 times the value of the property stolen. If the property stolen has a value of less than $20,000.00, the person is guilty of a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than 2.5 years or a fine of not more than $40,000.00 or 3 times the value of the property stolen.
