AP Precision Metals utilizes your electronic files to eliminate errors and reduce production time. Our professionals can render any idea into a three-dimensional model. We can take your designs (CAD file or print) and use our CAD/CAM software to translate your requirements directly to our machines. Files can be emailed to appm@apprecision.com. We offer: n Design and engineering assistance n Latest solid modeling software SolidWorks 3D CAD Amada AP100 CAM
AP Precision Metals specializes in the development of proto-types and pre-production runs. We offer professional assistance regarding the design, materials, and production process best suited for your project.
The CNC panel on both presses allow us to upload an electronic design file and immediately run the job.
The Amada 358 King CNC (Computer Numerical Control) turret punch press utilizes a sheet loader/unloader for high volume production and features a brush table design to protect the surface finish of parts while in production. The Amada 358 King and 357 Queen handle sheets up to 50" x 144" with a material thickness up to .250". Both turret presses perform these precise sheet metal fabrication processes: Piercing Nibbling Embossing Extruding Slotting and recessing Louvering Coining Countersinks Forming tabs Creating ribs
Our Amada press brakes are some of the most accurate forming presses in the world. Our presses utilize CNC (Computer Numerical Control) technology with depth and angle mode programming for speed, consistency, and accurate repeatability. Quick Change tooling drastically reduces operator set up time. To fabricate your sheet metal part we use precision machine tools: n Amada RG50 press brake n Amada 4 power shear AP Precision Metals' in-house welding saves money and time. We can use welding to incorporate several parts into a single assembly reducing your overall project cost. Our complete welding services include: n TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) n MIG (Metal Inert Gas) n Spot welding n Brazing
The press brake is used for the forming of a punched sheet metal blank and can handle multiple bends with a single set-up. This piece has a "jitter-bug" finish and is ready for powder coating.
AP Precision Metals is one of the very few metal shops in San Diego that offers powder coating in house. This allows us to provide lower production costs and faster lead times.
