Introduction
The air conditioning system is destined to be mounted on the passenger coaches type Couchette manufactured by Astra Vagoane Calatori for the Iranian Railways. Coaches are Z2 type in accordance with UIC 567-2, able to run with a max. speed of 160 km/hour. Climatic conditions: -25C / 80C (sun) or 55C (shadow); humidity from 13% up to 99%; atmosphere with dust, sand and salt. The comfort conditions in passenger area are in accordance with UIC 553. All passenger coaches are equipped with a fully automatic air conditioning system under frame mounted. Conditioned air is blown into the coach through air outlets arranged along the sidewall (ejecto-convector) and underneath the seats. Basically the functional remains the same as for the project S59L passenger coaches for Romania.

For the Regulation of the HVAC-system there is a FPC24 controller installed, which controls and regulates the air conditioning unit through outside, supply air and room temperature under consideration of the set point given as well as the safety chains for the devices. The regulation takes place automatically to the given set point, depending on the chosen operating mode.
4.1
Operating modes
position 0 : position : position 1 : everything is off ventilation and exhaust cooling or heating mode automatically selected by the controller
These are reached by switching the supply voltage of the fan. The following outputs of the FPC24 are being used in Ventilation mode: DQ_01 DQ_02 DQ_03 DQ_15 Ventilation low speed Ventilation medium speed Ventilation high speed Exhaust air fan

The set point for the platform and toilets is fixed at 22C. For the compartments the set point is defined as the lowest value given by the compartment modules plus ( 0,25 * ( Te - 19C ) ), if the outside temperature is higher than 19C.
