CCNA Semester3 Bridged Skills Exam Part 1: Routing

R2

Name:

S0/0

S0/1

S0/0 R1 Fast 0/0

OSPF Area 0

S0/0 R3

Fast 0/0

Tasks:
Configure the network in the diagram above following the specifications outlined below. Basic IP configuration: You have been allocated the class C network 192.168.1.0/24 for use in this network. This network must be divided to support the following requirements: R1- R3 LAN connection: support a maximum of 60 hosts R2 LAN connection: support a maximum of 30 hosts WAN connections between R1/R2, R2/ R3: Minimize the number of IP addresses used (2 hosts) R1 loopback interface:1.1.1.1/32 R2 loopback interface:2.2.2.2/32 R3 loopback interface:3.3.3.3/32

Router Configurations: 1. Assign IP addresses to each interface as determined in the IP addressing section. Use the first available address in the interface subnet space when possible. Clearly document these addresses on your lab diagram. 2. Configure OSPF between R1, R2 and R3. All interfaces should be advertised to the rest of the network. 3. Configure OSPF authentication between WAN links using encryption. Use cisco as the authentication password. 4. Modify the cost of the link between R2 and R3 to be 100. 5. Secure the routers using cisco as the enable, telnet, and console password. 6. Verify all routes.

Part 1 Assessment
The individual will be graded on the following performance items. These items may be performed on any of the workstations or routers. This part is pass/fail. Performance Item Design IP addressing Scheme. IP addressing scheme meets requirements outlined in Part 1. OSPF configuration. OSPF is configured and advertising all interfaces/networks. Ping router interface from router. Ping an interface IP address on any router from any other router OSPF authentication. OSPF routers successfully authenticate each other. Link Cost. OSPF cost has successfully been changed to 100 on the link between R2 and R3. Telnet to all routers by router host name. Telnet from one router to each of the other routers using their host name and be able to show all telnet sessions to other routers simultaneously. Pass / Fail R1 R2 R3

Part 2: LAN Switching

R2 InterVLAN Routing

Trunk SW1 Ports 1-5 VLAN 10 Ports 6-10 VLAN 20

PC Connection to Port 2 P64

VLAN 10 IP 10.10.10.5/24

P64

SW2 Ports 1-10 VLAN 20 VLAN 20 IP 10.10.20.5/24

PC Connection to Port 2

LAN Switch Configuration: 1. Configure VLAN 10 as the management VLAN on SW1 and place the interface using the IP address shown in the diagram. 2. Configure VLAN 20 as the management VLAN on SW2 and place the interface using the IP address shown in the diagram. 3. Configure the link between SW1 and SW2 to use VLAN 20. 4. Configure a trunk link between R2 and SW1 in order to facilitate inter-VLAN routing between VLAN 10 and 20. Use the first available IP address in each subnet on the router interfaces. 5. Secure the switch using cisco as the enable, telnet, and console password. 6. All devices in the network should be able to telnet and log-in to this switch.

Part 2 Assessment
The individual will be graded on the following performance items. These items may be performed on any of the workstations or routers. This part is pass/fail. Performance Item VLAN configuration. Management VLAN is created and ports assigned to appropriate VLAN. Trunk configuration. Trunk is configured between router and switch. Ping/Telnet to all devices. Ping and telnet from one router to each of the other devices. Inter-VLAN routing. R2 is routing between VLAN 10 and 20. Pass / Fail R2 SW1 SW2
