The Roman Road to Salvation has been used and abused What we need today is maturity We find Christians

and Baptists easily turned off, no dedication, emotions higher than doctrine. Because of this, the church of the living God which he purchased with His own blood, is become like any earthly organization of immature unregenerate people. THE ROMAN ROAD TO MATURITY STEP 1. Rom_12:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. We are the body of Christ, we are not a body of OFWs, or a body of religious people You are not my members; you are not members in my church; You are part of me (my body) and I am part of you This is deeper than the one flesh relationship This should be deeper than the blood relationship (lose a brother or sister in the flesh is hard, but losing a brother or sister in the body of Christ should be harder because it is like a loss of one of your members)

STEP 2. Rom_12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. Kindly affectioned two words; kind = compassionate, sympathetic, soft heart (something you give) affection = closeness, affinity, emotional attachment (something you feel) be kindly affectioned = constant pursuit of very close relationships (I Pet. 3:8) make sure that you are doing it to each other out of brotherly love a. some do it for gain b. some do it out of debt of gratitude 11. preferring one another a. Prefer to honour your brother than to honour yourself b. In your own office when a brother visits ..? c. In your own house d. In the mall e. In the church place STEP 3. Rom_14:19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. 12. Pursue how you can Edify another 13. Build him up rather than tear him down a. Some find fault, check background, remember past mistakes b. Some rejoice when others fail and become sad when others succeed 14. To edify is to help him mature

STEP 4. Rom_15:7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God. 15. Receive is the opposite of reject, close the door, keep out, dont be close 16. To receive someone is to welcome to your house, open your heart, your bowels of mercies 17. Are brethren welcome in your house? In your dining table? In your ref? To use your utensils, your C.R. , TV, STEP 5. Rom_15:14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another. 18. An admonition = 19. You need knowledge before you can admonish someone. 20. There are some here who is not able to admonish others, they lack knowledge 21. Admonition is not for the simple unlearned mind 22. It is not for those who do not study

WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT DO Rom_14:13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
