SWARVED - SEVA

Core of Brahmavidya, VihangamYog or for that matter any religious, social activity is SEVA. SEVA has essence of all. SEVA has immense power to move mountains, make impossible things happen and one of the best way to bring oneself closer to Sadguru no matter wherever you are. Sadguru has given special emphasis on SEVA and SATSANG. Before reciting few Dohas from Swarved today, let me give you some precursor. Almost 5-6 months back, I got my 1st chance to recite Swarved Dohas and topic was same, Seva. So it feel like one cycle has completed. And this time I wanted to take new Dohas for same topic. It wasn't difficult, because Pancham mandal, Pancham adhyay of SWARVED is dedicated to topic Seva and Satsang. That proves how much importance Sadguru has given to Seva - virtue of mankind. So first this comes to our mind, what is seva? Sadguru says in very second doha , |

, |||| Meaning, One has to follow Sadguru's rules and guidelines. One should broadcast/promote divine principles staying in the shelter of his guidelines. Eccentric and a person with free bird nature cannot perform Seva or convey Sadguru's principles to rest of the world. Therefore, one should renounce bad habits which ends up in self destruction, follow Sadguru's principles and perform Seva sincerely. We can perform all kinds of Seva in today's world because there is so much to do. But Is there anything special Sadguru wants us to do? Sadguru is on mission to liberate souls from cycle of life n death. He in Doha 19 says , | , || || Meaning, Propagating Sadguru's divine principles of truth and Brahmavidya or helping someone do so in this world is the true Seva to Sadguru and all living beings. One performing such Seva is the true disciple. Why Seva is so important? Sadguru says in Doha 34 , |

, |||| Meaning, Seva is as good as chanting mantras, greater penance, offering prayers, performing Vrats and worshipping. Therefore, one should submit to Sadguru and perform Seva and that is true Dharma. Sadguru further in Doha 18 says , |

, |||| Meaning, the best virtue is Seva and it is the best among all virtues. Just like, when trees, plants flourish in monsoon season, all other qualities flourish automatically in any person performing Seva with sincerity and integrity.

Performing Seva is easy but is it easy to find true Sevak? Sadguru in Doha 9 says , |

, || || Meaning, it is easy to teach bookish knowledge reading books and being an intellect. But it is very difficult to find true disciplined and orderly Sevak who performs Seva actions sincerely. It is rare to find such Sevaks leading this Seva path. We have seen significance of Seva in earlier Dohas. How powerful is Seva? What Sadguru thinks about effectiveness of Seva? Sadguru in next Doha 24 says , | , |||| Meaning, where power of intelligence, policies, and muscles fail, all other powers, tricks comes short, there works Seva. Sadguru further in Doha 15 says , |

, |||| Meaning, Sadguru should not guide Brahmavidya to person not performing Seva. Vedas has clearly said to bless only those true disciple who performing Seva with Brahmavidya Sadguru in next Doha 20 says , |

, || || Meaning, there is no other way of leading life like Seva Dharma. Everything is easy and simple for Sadguru's disciple and impossible is nothing or nothing is unattainable. Finally to conclude I would like to say, Seva is the highest, easiest and purest form of service to Sadguru one can offer. Best part of Seva is we don't have to be powerful, strongest, smartest, rich to perform seva. Weakest of the weak, poorest of the poor can offer Seva in one form of other and that is the beauty of Seva. SEVA brings out humility within you. SEVA is the best way to communicate or have satsang with other disciples. SEVA is the best way of seeking blessings of Sadguru.
