Molina Healthcare is underwriting the cost to provide FREE reliable transportation to residents of North Sacramento.
For years, Molina Healthcare CEO Dr. J. Mario Molina believed that by simply introducing free reliable transportation into a neighborhood, the residents health and wellbeing would improve.This month his vision became a reality. The Neighborhood Shuttle will begin traveling the 8 mile route from Molina Medical stopping at a variety of locations both medical and non medical.Two of the shuttle stops are Molina Medical Groups where residents can see a physician and receive immunizations or other primary care services. Because the shuttle is not just for healthcare, residents can use it as an adjunct to public bus service and engage in daily activities such as going to the check cashing store, church or the laundromat. Durante aos, el Presidente de Molina Healthcare, el Dr. J. Mario Molina, mantuvo su creencia de que con slo ofrecer transportacin gratuita y confiable dentro de una comunidad, la salud de los residentes y el bienestar en general mejoraran.Este mes su visin se ha hecho una realidad. La camioneta de transportacin a la comunidad comenzar a servir una ruta de 8 millas, de Molina Medical , haciendo paradas en varios lugares tanto mdicos como no mdicos.Dos de las paradas son en Molina Medical Groups, donde los residentes pueden ver a un doctor y recibir vacunas u otro tipo de servicios de atencin primaria. Debido a que el transporte no es slo para asuntos de salud, los residentes pueden utilizarlo como un complemento de servicio de autobs pblico y participar en actividades diarias, tales como ir a la casa de cambio de cheques, a la iglesia o la lavandera.
