Bohemia Woman Collapses At Father's Bier, Dies A 54-year-old woman collapsed in a funeral chapel Wednesday in the midst of her bereaved family and was rushed to Dr. King's Hospital, Bay Shore, where she died yesterday 36 hours after suffering the loss of her father. Double funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Bertha Helen Eis and her father, Stanislav Albrecht, 78. Mrs. Eis, who made her home in Bohemia for the past 31 years, collapsed at the William J. E. Mr. Albrecht suffered a stroke Monday and lingered in a paralyzed state until 6:45 p.m. Tuesday when he died at his home on Smithtown Avenue where he lived with Mrs. Eis and her husband, Louis. & Rose). It took some tracking down but I spoke with Tom on Wednesday, and his sister Elaine on Thursday. Prior to this I had never met or spoken to either and it's been years and years since they have seen my husband, David. Both were helpful in providing information with more to come. I'm going to send Elaine a Pedigree Sheet & a Family Group Sheet[s] to fill out and return to me. She also has photos of Rose _____ Albrecht, their grandmother which I hope to receive since we have none. I just e-mailed her tonight and asked a few questions about her father, Frank. On your list under the parents, Frank & Rose, their first son Frank Albrecht has incorrect dates for his Birth & Death. Tom & Elaine's Father, Frank Albrecht was born 18 Oct (1906 or 07)...........I write that because Elaine told me 1907 and then, on Ancestry I found a Frank Albrecht with almost the same birth date, 18 Oct 1906. Also, Elaine said his date of death was 23 Oct 1985 and the Florida Death Index, 1877-1998 said 21 Oct 1985 I do not know where here Father died........so, that was another question for her. The Frank Albrecht that you currently have listed as the son of Frank & Rose Albrecht who was born in 1901 - I believe he is the son of John & Josephine Albrecht. I found them plus a sister, Blanche, in the 1910 US Fed. Census. This son, Frank, was 9 years old in 1910.....so, he just may be the right Frank. (Golly, I found a lot of Frank Albrechts on Ancestry!) There is a Frank M. Albrecht born 11 Jun 1901 who is married to Anna _______ born 29 May 1901 (I found her in the SS Death Index died 17 Nov 1989. Hopefully, we can get Tom and Elaine's parents "straightened out". Their Mother was Irene Cecelia Pryor.....I'm awaiting a date of their Marriage........ While searching on Ancestry recently, I came acrossAlbrecht Family in the 1930 the Federal Census. They were listed as Albuct. There they were: Rose, Frank, Helen, Charles, and Rudolph! (No wonder I hadn't been able to find them in the 1930 Census prior to this.) When I looked at The Original Document, Albrecht was spelled correctly !! The transcriber goofed. Re: the sister, Frances Albrecht b. 14 Aug 1905 and d. 10 Jan 1906. My husband and I knew nothing about her; Elaine did....she had seen her name at the LI Cemetery and asked her Father about Frances. I'm delighted to find someone else who is working on the Albrecht Genealogy. I do have some questions and I also have some additional information to share with you. If you saw our Albrecht information on Ancestry - than you may have seen the marriage date for my in-laws, Helen Frances Albrecht married William Ducasse Wister, Jr. at St. Mary's Rectory Winfield L. I. (is what it says on the Marriage Certificate) on 08 Sep 1934. (They were married in the Rectory because Helen was not a Roman Catholic.) It states on this Certificate that she lived in Elmhurst, NY. I cannot read the last name of the Rector's signature - so, I'm planning to call the Church and see if they can look back in their records to 1934 and find his Surname. I couldn't find a Winfield, Queens, NY so I Googled it and today I learned that it was a thriving town from the mid 1880's until the time of WW II; I read online that "After World War II, the name "Winfield" became disused and the town was divided between Woodside and Maspeth." This afternoon, while looking through old Wister photos, I found a couple with Helen in them and on the back it said West Winfield. St. Mary's RC Church is now known as Blessed Virgin Mary Help of Christians and they

celebrated their 150th anniversary in 2004. (I found this info online by Googling Winfield, Queens, NY - the article was about Forgotten NY Neighborhoods and was very interesting and had many pictures. It had quite a bit of information about Gen. Winfield Scott for whom it was named. Today, this church is located at 70-31 48th Street Woodside, NY 11377 Interestingly - I have seen (and currently I cannot find) a Baptismal Certificate for Helen from a R.C. Church - I don't recall which one). I am struggling with the last name of Helen's Mother, Rose _______ Albrecht. I have e-mailed my daughter to look in her Baby Book to see how I spelled it. I believe it was Rose Kuchas and she was born in New York (probably on Long Island maybe Elmhurst). I tried in vain to find Rose via Ancestry.com last evening and could only find her as Rose Albrecht. I am going to write to my husband's first cousin and see if she knows more than Dave (my husband) and I do. I have a couple of questions for you (and more may surface in a few days as I work on this line): #1. Frank Albrect b. 2 Aug 1838 married Marie Vondracek b. 3 Jul 1841. Then you list Frank's father, John Albrecht b.___ as marrying Marie Vondracek b._____ Do you remember where you found this information? It just seemed amazing that the father and his son would both marry women with the same name. #2. You mentioned that your sister lives on LI - does she live anywhere near Elmhurst or Woodside? #3. Was your father Jeroslav Rudolf Albrecht? I see that you are not listed on the genealogy line.....and, I'm wondering if I should list my husband and myself as "Living __________"? #4. Please check your Family Group Sheet for Frank Albrecht b. 2 Aug 1838 m. Marie Vondracek b. 3 Jul 1841. How many children did they have? I count (11) eleven but I may have two of them listed twice: were there (2) Anna's...one has no date of birth; I also have a Stanislav b. 22 Sep 1877 and a Stanley b. Sep 1886 Thank you, again for writing and I look forward to hearing from you. Carol Weeks Wister PS My husband and I retired to Cape Cod after many years in CT 25. May 20, 2011 10:02 pm Hi Keith, I'm back working on the Albrecht Genealogy. My husband found two old phone numbers for his two Albrecht cousins (whose Father was Frank Albrecht - son of Frank Albert & Rose). The Frank Albrecht that you currently have listed as the son of Frank & Rose Albrecht - who was born in 1901 - I believe he is the son of John & Josephine Albrecht. While searching on Ancestry recently, I came across Albrecht Family in the 1930 the Federal Census. Do you have any photos of the gravestones from the Linden Hill Cemetery? I believe that is where Rose and Frank are buried. Enough for tonight, Carol

The Frank Albrecht that you currently have listed as the son of Frank & Rose Albrecht - who was born in 1901 - I believe he is the son of John & Josephine Albrecht. While searching on Ancestry recently, I came across Albrecht Family in the 1930 the Federal Census. Do you have any photos of the gravestones from the Linden Hill Cemetery? I believe that is where Rose and Frank are buried. Enough for tonight, Carol

St. Mary's RC Church is now known as Blessed Virgin Mary Help of Christians and they celebrated their 150th anniversary in 2004. I have e-mailed my daughter to look in her Baby Book to see how I

spelled it. I believe it was Rose Kuchas and she was born in New York (probably on Long Island - maybe Elmhurst).
