First Baptist Church To Be Sold

IN FACT, ITS GOT TO BE SOLD! No, we are not about to lose our church through foreclosure or repudiated debt, BUT! OUR CHURCH MUST BE SOLD TO BAINBRIDGE It was planted on Shotwell Street years ago to wield an influence beyond its membership and walls. Being one of the strongest churches in our city, we are presented with an enormous challenge. OUR CHURCH MUST BE SOLD TO THE UNCHURCHED There are hundreds of Bainbridge people who would attend our church and join our church if we would bother to sell our Church to them. HOW MUCH IS OUR CHURCH WORTH TO YOU? How much do you value its glorious ministry, its marvelous spirit of harmony and aggression? How much do you value its beauty and comfort? How much do you value the glorious Christ it proclaims? As a member of First Baptist you are selling your church to others every day. Are you selling it short? Is it worth selling? Has it lifted you? Has it helped you to the extent that you are willing to sell it to others? It cost Jesus His very life. It is precious to Him. Will you always be enthusiastic in talking about your church? Will YOU go with your Sunday School Class when they visit this week, and the next and the next? Will you attend Church for your own spiritual growth and development? Will you share your wonderful church with others who have no idea what they are missing? WILL YOU do it for Jesus sake? -Copied The Baptist Builder July 8, 1971 The flowers in the Sanctuary are in loving memory of Joyce M. & Miller Shealy by their daughter, Tere Dykes.

We are proud to say that we have started the new school year off with a BANG. We had mid fifties in Sunday School and almost had forty at Prayer Breakfast on Tuesday. This is just the start of what God is going to do this school year inside of the Student Ministry at FBC. I also want to take the time to say how excited I am about the students who have moved up. It was a joy to see and even meet new students who have advanced up into the youth ministry program. I hope you feel welcomed and I want to extend a open door for any concerns for you and your parents may have in this move. We will be having a meeting for any parents that would like to come and ask questions about the student ministry this Sunday @ 5:00. This will be your chance to calm your nerves and understand what we are about. I will also have calendars available that include the events for the rest of 2012. I will have you fill out a Liability Release Form while we meet, so please bring your insurance information. I will also be asking for volunteers to sign up for Wednesday Supper and Sunday Morning Breakfast. Please consider helping the ministry through these services.
