CLEAR Web Producer/Online Assistant (20 hours a week ~est.

)
Background CLEAR (Regional Centers for Learning on Evaluation and Results) is a multiregional initiative, whose goal is to contribute to strengthening the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and performance management (PM) capacity of countries and their governments, to achieve development outcomes. CLEAR supports Regional Centers to provide in-region capacity development and technical assistance services, and global learning to strengthen practical knowledge-sharing on M&E and PM across regions. The Clear Secretariat is housed in the Independent Evaluation Group (IEG) of the World Bank Group. The Secretariat is looking for a Web Producer/Online Assistant to help prepare content for the CLEAR website - www.theclearinitiative.org, and related online outreach and engagement activities.

Duties and Accountabilities: With guidance from the Team Lead, further enhance the CLEAR website so that it is strategically aligned with CLEARs business goals. This includes: Creating original web content from evaluation capacity development resources from CLEAR Centers and CLEAR Partners Promoting events, updating calendars, and helping manage online engagement tasks around a publishing calendar Developing multimedia content, including photo galleries, maps, slideshows and videos in collaboration with IEG and CLEAR Centers staff Searching for and reporting on M&E-related content that could be of interest to CLEARs Centers and stakeholders Promoting CLEAR Centers publishing and outreach efforts Developing and maintaining CLEARs email marketing capability; assist with the drafting of email newsletters Routine maintenance and other tasks as required to keep the site up to date. Selection Criteria:. Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years experience working with the web Experience writing for the web, particularly repackaging technical information and presenting it in a web-friendly, easy to understand manner Proficiency in HTML, CSS and Photoshop. Familiarity with web video and audio formats a plus. Strong attention to detail and experience managing a publishing calendar. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines, ensuring content is produced and posted correctly and on time; Knowledge and interest in international development issues a plus

This is initially an eight month assignment for 20 hours a week (80 days). The specific schedule will be agreed upon during the initial discussions about this consultancy. The Web Producer/Online Assistant must be comfortable working in fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and varying workloads. He/she should also be able to work with a diverse set of communication professionals within IEG. The Web Producer/Online Assistant will work under the supervision of a CLEAR team leader.
